MBhull,

I only use the 401GY now with the S9650 digital servo's on 400 size heli's.

But I have heard the 240 is good.

I think surviving crashes has to do with placement of the gyro. Keep it close to the frame or in it. I have mine on the tail boom. But on my 450Trex's I have it in the frame.

hi guys can anyone help... i have just rebuit my heli with the metal head and tail took it to try it out and had one of the main blades snap at the blade holder did not hit the ground or anything just come down from a short hover, started to power it back up when the blade flew off. it now looks like it has bent the main shaft also it has broke some of the teeth in the servos as they wont go up and down they seem to stick. can anyone tell me what type of servos i should replace them with as everyone says the walkera servos are not that good. any help will be great.

Thanks MD

walkera servos are bad not one lasted three flights in my 60!
but i can tell you i could not find a servo that will fit it without a bit of fileing of the mounts i was told if you order the mounts for the night ranger 3dxl that you will be able to just install them but not sure as if you look at that heli it has the same sevos in it! i used a small file and just did a slow job of fit and check untill the new servos fit! i used E-FLITE s-75 servos and it fly's as well or better then it did new! also if the servos are the recomended for sport on the T-rex sa i had to feel it will be fine in this bird! any one have a better idea's on this?

maddog,

switch to the new motor, the 60 stock brushed motor burns up pretty easy with Lipos. you don't want to crash because of a frying motor.

Hi can anyone tell me if the Esky 8g micro Mini Servo will fit and work in the walkera 60 need to change them after the servos got smashed when one of the blades snaped at the blade holder must have been faulty but a bit costly.

Any help will be great.

micro Servo
as i have said before in here i could not find any servo that would fit without any mods but i did put E-flite's s75 servos. and last i had her in the air it was much better then it was with the org servos! now i can use any servo that i want and it is nice in the air! you will need to file the mounts to make the servos fit! lucky for me a friend had a bunch of sevos i could try at the time! but none fit it. i have to think that walkera makes the sevos? also if your new to the walkera 60 just bit of help for parts is the walkera 60 is the exact same heli as the night ranger 3dxl so for us in the USA most of our LHS have parts or can get them! and from what i have found most don't know it

ok everone one imagine this. building a walkera 60 with belt drive tail. useing a Jr spectrum trainsmitter. now I'm buildign this thing up and I need to pick out servos, a motor, battery, mechanics, basically replacing everything but the mainframe. gimme a list. what's good to put in here, espicially the gyro.

now I'm not gonna spend a fortune on this, I spend that on a raptor or such, proly save that for my scale heli's, but a resonable budgeted heli setup for the 60. not crap, obviusly, but not glitched to crap either

Eddy,

how bout hs56hb cyclic servos, 430L Align motor and align 35A ESC, I'm a sucker for the Gy401 and S9650 Gyro/Servo combo but you might find something a little cheaper that might work almost as good. But Tail authority is maybe the most important thing for relaxed flights as you well know.
