Rene,

you should find Radds school of flight and go through the lessons. It will help you learn to fly and save money on crashes.

I'm currently waiting for my DF60 to arrive. It is my first and I have recently discovered that "ready to fly out of the box" dose NOT mean ready to fly. I would much appreciate any input from experienced pilots on preflight setup and any tips for my maiden voyage.

It is on sale a software to load into a PC and connect the RC unit to play?
Into the package of the walkera includes an interface between the RC and a DB9 connector, what is for?
Do exist a software to trainning?

Rob,

Radds is really the way to go for beginners, I should have mentioned to the others that it is free and it gives you lessons to go out and practice with your heli for you to build up your skills.

Keep us filled in as you go through the lessons.

My 60 came in the mail today. Smoked the speed control on the third attempt to get it off the ground. Is that just bad luck or is it something I did? Sure would like to know before I replace it and smoke another. Also is there a better replacement part other than the standard walkera. Once again, thanks for being here for us cherries.

I recommend balancing the head and buying a cheap speed control from Tower Hobbies or Polk's Hobbies. Brushed ESC's are pretty darn cheap. The most common probelm with the head balancing is blades that are not an equal weight and/or are not tracking properly. If you have had any blade strikes, it's also possible your spindle or main shaft are slightly bent, which can cause a nasty shake.

I, for one, am having a problem with the transmitter right now. It powers up and then the lighted read-out just blinks repeatedly. I replaced the batteries and that did not fix the problem. Any ideas?

Rob,

I like the Castle Creations 35Amp or the Align 35Amp Speed controllers.

It may have just been a bad speed controller.
