I currently have a Honeybee CP2 and am in the training-gear-still trying to hover-learning phase. At some point, I know I might want to add another heli to my stable. Most of the little helis out there come in a kit that includes the tx. Can you get something like a Blade CP or CX, or Hirobo Lama without the tx? (And use the Honeybee tx for both?).

Of course, they both would have to be on the same frequency, or can that be changed easily?

Additionally, what would be a good choice for a second heli, without going gas and/or breaking the bank?

Sorry if these are stupid questions.

Status: offline 		If you plan to get a second heli, i say get a T-rex. Now its goning to cost around $1000 and your going to need to buy a seperate quality radio. Cp2 one cant be used. But the new radio will be alot better than any RTF radio. If you dont want to spend that much i would wait, because its worth the money.

Status: offline 		A good starter radio that is really great and comes with a synthesized module so you do not need crystals is the Hitec Optic 6 it is a six channel radio that is set for anything that you would do as someone new to the hobby and you can get the bare bones set up for around $180.00,just the radio,synth module and a charger,I have this radio and really enjoy it I had a Futaba 9CHPS but sold it for the optic I did not need all the bling that came with the 9C. And the fact that the 9CHPS is $450.00 is also a factor. Also you can fly any Heli with the optic and so do not be swayed by the people that say unless you buy the 9 channel 9C you will not be able to do as much that is bunk I flew my Hirobo Freya Eagle 60 nitro with my optic and my 9C and there was no difference.Unless you get into scale where you have retracts and all that other stuff then you do not need the 9 channel radio.

Status: offline 		You need a trans. with multi model memory. Otherwise you'd have to change the settings in the trans to suit each heli, such as servo reversing, end points, etc.

Status: offline 		I just got the Hitec Eclipse 7 for my honey bee cp 2, it was a bit fiddly setting it up, but now I have it makes a MASSIVE difference.

I think the expo settings are the main things. I have foam blades on at the moment, and I have to say, it is now great for flying indoors!

The other neat thing is I got the spectra module, so as soon as the part I've been waiting for on my FP I'll be able to program them both in, and not have to worry about swapping crystals!!

I will research all of the possibilities so far mentioned....its fun to anticipate what I might go for in the future.

Status: offline 		If your heli has a separate rcvr. I would highly recommend the DX6 Spectrum. Very light weight, no interference, 10 model memory, lots of heli programming and the price is right. I have one and it's the greatest thing since sliced balony Equal to my Futaba 9C
