I recently visited the Hitec site and noticed that the 555 and Super Slim Rx were not listed. I have several of these and have been pleased with the performance. Have they been discontinued?

Yes, these RX's have been discontinued. New and improved products with additional features will be released in the near future.

Any more info on these new RX's? Such as when they are likely to hit the shops?
Availability of the Super Slim has dried up over here and I am in the market for one (simply because i am so pleased with the one i already have).

I see nothing in the current Hitec catalogue (items listed as new for 2006) that could be called comparable replacements - the only 8ch is a top loader and bigger than the old super slim & the only rx that is the same layout as the superslim is a 6ch.

Any info is greatly appreciated

There is really nothing to replace the Super Slim... the closest one will be the Fusion 9 but it is only available in the US on 72mhz. You might look at the Multiplex receivers http://www.multiplex-rc.de

Mike.

I have also had solid performance from my 35Mhz superslim Rx and look forward to the release of the new 9 channel version over here.
Please check the Hitec USA site and let me know what name it will have. Under new products it's called 'Fusion' yet the PDF manual that is available for download calls it a 'Freedom' Rx.'

Any chance of an early christening !

Thanks for the most informative site on Hitec products.

The 9 channel look nice, really nice. More features than the super slim, and only a little larger, but twice the price. Still, should be a good receiver.
