First off let me say I know this does not belong here, but since this is where it started, this is where I will stand corrected. In an earlier post, "Hitec? You Mean Lowtec", I stated my opinion based on what I had read. Someone suggested I run a poll to be more fair about my judgement. I did. I ran one on Hitec and One on Futaba. Too my suprise, Hitec only had 17% of the people that had problems, and Futaba had 47%. WOW Thats staggering! I guess I've been lucky, as that is all I use, and have had no problems. To finish this off I can only say I was wrong, and I'm sorry! Guess I'll give the Hitec servos a try after all. So Mike, what do you think about 5625 for the ailerons and elevators, a 5945 for the rudder, and a 425 for the throttle, on the Sig Extra 300XS, with an OS 1.60 for power?

Thanks Bob

Bob,

We appreciate the apology, no harm>no foul...

The servo load you’re proposing sounds reasonable to me. Only thing I might consider changing would be the throttle while the 425 is an excellent standard servo it’s not as precise as a digital, digital coreless or 5-pole motored servo. Aerobatic models which anticipate constant throttle actuation benefit IMO from precision servos. I'd recommend a 6965, 6635 or at the least a 525... However thousands of modelers use standard servos for throttle and are perfectly happy with same.
