hi all after crashing my aviation design F-117, i was in need of a new set wings. the simple fix was a set of zagi thl cores, sheeted and glassed. the fit was very close and only needed sanding at the root to match the fuse. the thicker foil seems to help the tendency to change trim (climb as speed builds.)
2 flights with new wings happy happy joy joy.

Hi F117,

Can you tell me how the AD F-117 flies? Take off, stability in flight, landing ???
For a long time, I am thinking of buying one, but for what I have read , I am a little bit afraid about the flying characteristics.

Thanks,
Patrick Saenen

Hi X-15,
the picture i tried to attach is too big. as for flying, not to bad.
plane takes off (rotates) very easy. i keep it on the ground for 500' to get max speed and the option to abort if motor sags.
keep the climb shallow to build more speed. takes a lap to get max speed then it's safe. almost as stable as a my yellow f-16. will roll fine, to afraid to loop. roll is sensitive pitch is much softer. landing is easy, when the power comes off. the nose drops quick, pitch is good until stall (don't stall it or it' s zagi time remember delta's stall from the rear, i forgot lol) it will touch on mains and either air brake or go for the wheel brakes i use the wheels. i like it and have average skills. NO cross winds !! no rudders. hope this helps have maiden and second flight on tape if you are interested.

Hi F117,

Our runway is only 300 ft, so I better forget it.
Maybe I can wait until the turbine conversion is available.

Thanks,
Patrick
