As in the subject, does anyone know the % and type of oil used in Powermaster 30% Heli blend?

Thanks
Derek

You can find out for yourself if you want to Measure out some fuel and leave it open to the atmosphere. Eventually only the oil will be left in your vial or whatever. Do the math and calculate the % of the residual liquid (oil) and Voila! There you have it!

THis would work, but it could take a long time. The methanol portion is quite volatile and will evaporate in a fairly short period of time. The nitromethane, however, has a higher boiling point and would take considerably longer. Unless you have some way to distill off the volatile (methanol and nitro) components in a sealed system, I wouldn't count on simple evaporation to remove everything but the oil in a short period of time. The oil boils at a much higher temperature. Don't heat the mixture in an open vessel; you might end out with a fire!

I didn't mention that I wasn't in a hurry and just let it evaporate in it's own due time. I used no heat sources or any accelerators and it worked fine_bob

Derek,
The Powermaster 30% Heli fuel contains 23% Low Viscosity Synthetic oil. The 30% Pattern Blend has 20% Low Viscosity Synthetic oil content.
Hope this helps out.
