Hi Guys,
I recently ordered a couple of Vendettas from Lyle Larson. He is currently out of town and I'm trying to get all the " stuff " up and get it shipped to my builder. Mine will be Jett 50 powered, my builder's will be Nelson. I have the motor mounts, but need pretty much everything else.
I am planning on using JR 3412SAs on the elevator and a 9411SA on the ailerons. Any fit problems here? Also, any reason not to use a PCM RX?

Other than Tetra tanks ( 6oz?) what hardware do I need?

Sorry for the noob questions---

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

I assume you mean the 3421 servo, not the 3412.

If you go with the Metal Gears, rather than the SA version, that would still be fine.

I really like the 3421, and would be very comfortable with it on both elevator and Aileron. You don't need that much juice on Rudder or Throttle cut off though. I have been using the Futaba 3102 for those two functions lately and have been very happy.

Lyle should be back in town, probably replacing the rear tire on his motorcylce after all of the burn outs at the Phoenix field

The 6 oz tank is a good way to go if you do not plan on racing. That should give you another 30 + seconds of flight time.

As to hardware, I like the Hayes black nylon clevis's with the metal pin. Rock solid in my opinion.

OOPs! Yup, I meant the 3421 servos.

I'll give Lyle a call tommorrow.

Sounds like you guys had a blast at Phoenix. Maybe next year things will slow down at work enough for me to get into racing but not much hope this year, unfortunately.

Thanks Dave!

Hey, since Dave Norman is in here I would like to ask one little question. Are there any racing shaped wheels that actually have some "give". ie strong rubber? I hate it if it is an imperfect landing since mine is heavier than normal. Thanks, Erik.

Yes, they are called Streamline Wheels. You can get them at www.darrolcady.com they have a rubber o-ring on the outside that has a little more give than the pizza cutters.
