Sure you guys don't bother to invite the old guy to your new forum because my 3.3 Revo is an "old school" convert? Well it's wheeling at 3/4 throttle and it's on it's on the rich side and it's only it's 2nd tank guys........I'm staying a little rich for now because I've heard some reports of broken connecting rods. Just be patient guys.

RPM a-arms and axle carriers will fit your 3.3s guys. should be your 1st upgrade......

Luk - cool, ok, I'll stick with the EZ start stocker 3.3 - ALL I hear is that it just flat scREAMs

Spacoli...mine got shipped from Minnesota yesterday priority mail, so I'm lookin' at maybe tomorrow realistically. I'm actually ending up with Blue, but looking at this aftermarket body - I believe it's aftermarket?

Thanks Bill on the advice for getting a Revo. I just wished I would had been a little bit more informed and smarter before I bought the WH. I can't wait for Ash to start updating his webpage with Revo 3.3 info.

My Revo 3.3 got here a few nights ago. No chance to run it due to working 12 hour shifts and then on my first day off it starts to snow and rain. It is my life story, good weather when I work and the bad weather on my days off. Promised my little brother I would cruise up and hang out this weekend taking the Revo with me tho.

Any suggestions on what spare parts to keep in the tool box for frequently or commonly broken parts? I can not wait to start running and upgrading this machine. Any suggested mods would be appreciated too, don't worry about the radio, I usually always pull the stock one and throw in a reciever for the Futaba 3pm. This Opti-drive thing, is this really a fail safe? The manual is not to clear on its function besides being the lockout for reverse/foward shifting while the car is moving.

First set of things I am looking at is some Pro-Line Moab Tire, Pro-Line 40 Series Commando Bead-Loc 23mm HD Hex Wheel, and Pro-Line HD Hex Adapter 23mm. Are these parts viable and worth the money? Might do the center diff and brake kit later on down the line.

Catch later guys, need to pack and get on the road this morning.

Mark

One more thing, what about clutch upgrades? Will I burn thru clutches about the same rate as the WH did?

The only 40 series wheels that will keep the same offset that the Revo has stock are the 40 series Wabash. You're going to find you don't need to stock up on spare parts for your revo. If you want to get something, get the RPM a-arms and axle carriers like I suggested. You might also want to get rid of the opti drive and install a fail safe. There have been cases in the past where the opti drive has decided to put the truck into reverse by itself. It's not a big deal, and isn't a necessary change. I just added some new stuff to my web page. More on my Revo2 pages and a "Links" section

And those 40 series Proline Wabash Rims and Proline Crimefighter Tires will work on your Savage too with the right 23mm Hub adaptors - I'm interchanging them as needed

And this is what they look like with Proline Bowtie tires on an "Old School" Revo with an OS.18 engine in it . I don't feel so bad putting up pics of my Revo in this thread. LOL OK, I guess I'll have to do a section on my web site of the OS.18 Revo so I can link to the pics of it.
