iv herd of that before. those guys went through years of development in order to get it right. they say that the one in the video is the only one and they are trying to sell it for 250,000 dollars(seen as its one of a kind). the reason it is one of a kind is because the moulds got destroyed in a fire in the lab they were stored. if i was after researching for years to build such a cool engine i would take care of the moulds!!!.

i don't really think there is a kit seen as they can't make any more

Those V8's were awesome. Did you know in the '80's there was one that was produced for sale by Conley Engineering? They were smaller than that. He sold casting kits that were for the home machinist. I saw them. They were basically a scaled down Chevy 350. But he also made them in V$, V6, and V12 versions.

well they are obviously not one of a kind, cause there's 2 right there, but either way, tell me that thing wouldn't be BA in an RC muscle car

These mini v8's and cars to run them in are still avail. www, conleyprecision, com. there is one engine on the site that is a "one of a kind, molds destroyed in fire" but there is no price listed and its a 1/4 scale replica of a dodge viper V-10.
the V-8 engine with test stand is around $6000 us. or the full rtr cars start at $13,000 - $15,000
The engines are also avail. on a european website i found www, gpracing,de

EDIT: and might i add, are these not the coolest thing ever!!

i have seen scale v8s at cars shows (real car shows, good guys etc.) not only do they exiest but there are scale flathead ford motors, rotary, diesel, and most anykind and model of real engine you could name in scaled down size. the ones i saw i asked about purchasing and was told it was alocal club and they were not for sale. this club was Bay Area (california) (something like the rest of this) Engine Models Builders.
AS far as making your own, a good drill press and metal lathe would be able to make half of it, you would need specs for whatevere motor you are copying, and scale it down.
as a mechanic myself, i would recommend having a fully disassembled motor to measure off of and to give you something to visually compare with. the clyinder heads would be the hardest part, off the top of my head i don't know how you would do the ignition system (how are u going to fit a spark plug into a area that is so small), but i imagine a inulated wire with a bare tip firing straight to wall of cylinder would probaly work ( eventually you would have pitting occur (same reason you replace spark plugs and other igntion parts) that might cause death to motor).
if somebody has figured how to do this with tools that are around the average garage, i would love to have info, even if i never put in a car i would love to have a running engine i could put on the kitchen table

Check on the web and go to some home machinist web sites, you will be amazed at what some of them make.

OMG you just touched on one of my most passionate issues! all the really good machinists are getting old and the craft is dying off.

it is unbeliveable what some of these people have made!

and by the way, there is no way that stuff like that can be made without a very well equiped dedicated machine shop.
