I am looking at getting into some C/L flying at a local field (Werrington), and was wondering if anyone knows about local hobbyshops that are still C/L friendly.
My father flew about 40 years ago and I've always wanted to try it.

I have a couple of R/C planes (glow and electric) but haven't flown them much, so I have some gear just no lines or handle. As for a plane we can either scratch build one or get plans.

I don't know my way around Sydney so I can't help with exact info but try going to http://www.vicstunt.com/ then looking through some of the on line newsletters because they carry ads from various places. You could even find a phone number scattered around in there that's fairly local to you too.

Thanks, not a bad idea, I haven't found any yet but it's got some good reading.

Kelletts in Liverpool? Or Saturn Hobbies in Melbourne, (03) 9579 7566.

I'd have thought most of the bigger/older ones would have a set of lines and a handle to sell you.

PAW in England list Staystrate line. http://www.eifflaender.com/

It shouldn't be too hard. I picked up a set of lines and reel made by VMAR(!) at the local Canberra shop.

Yes, thankyou.
Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier, I have been too busy to check my email. It sounds like it's my best option to try Kelletts.

I haven't looked into any of it at the moment, had some major car trouble lately and I've been focused on that.

If it's no trouble I would appreciate that. We can look into how much you want for it all and how much it will cost to send. I usually send money order for this sort of thing, that's if we go ahead.
Thanks.
