Well, I would like to be the first to give my opinion of the plasti-blade for the blade CP. I ordered two sets on Saturday and wow what a turn around. Today (Monday) when I got home from work, they were in my mailbox. Running to my blade, I quickly put them on. These things are very light. I was suprised. They seem to actually weigh a little less than the woody's. I can't weigh them though, I don't have a gram scale. They also seem to have a slight concave bottom, but thats okay. The leading edge is very sharp. You'll want to be carful not to get hit with these buggers, or it will hurt bad. I only made two short flights with them as I crashed over the weekend and broke a skid (flying with a broken wing) and nicked a brand new set woody blades. Both flights were very smooth. I didn't have to adjust the tracking at all. I did notice that the wind down after landing is longer. I'm assuming that this is because the sharp leading edges have less drag than the woody's. There are two mold points on the bottom of the blades, but these could be sanded if one desired. They didn't seem to effect the perfomance at all. My bottom line conclusion - not having crashed yet to see how durable they are - is that these are FANTASTIC!!! My hats off to sparky814_hawk for his efforts (and fast shipping)!!! I am really liking these things. They may not be great for a pro flyer, but for a beginner who goes through blades like crazy... So far they're GREAT!!! I will update my review if and when I crash the thing. I'm not going to do it on purpose, that would be silly! -Pilot

Got mine too today. They are wierdly quieter when they spin. Otherwsie I have yet to fly as I am having other issues with my blade that im trying to resolve... They look nice! Cant wait to crash! I mean umm... yea

Well I just crash tested twice... the new plasti blade(not intentional first just cought a tree at slow speed then FULL SPEED INTO THE FRONT bumper OF MY F-150.. the blades held up great ,just some minor nicks.The rest of the heli damage was 2 broken bell hiller arms ,they are way to week and a cracked canopy,The blades fly great the gave me confidence to fly fast ff .I just stink at ff ,I can hover in a 3foot circle all day and these blades were rock steady for that .great job . I suggest a new plasti hiller part for the next project :)

mine came in today, but i had to leave the office before they got there. bummer. Damn fine shipping service, if you ask me. However, I did do some outside flying today. Its been a long time since it was not windy. Of course, back then my skills were not as good. Today, i was doing some ff, from right to left, did several fast and slow piro's. Had a blast. After the rush of learning to hover, this was a new rush all over again. Of course, I still cant nose in hover yet, but after 6 weeks, about 2 hours stick time a night (yes, my wife is somewhat pissed, good thing she is studying to get into DR school), i can hover rock steady, and now i can fly around a bit. Flying from my left to right is better, cause that side hover i'm better at. just that orientation feels good. Right to left is another story. have to work on that one. also, i noticed tail athority was not as good flying around. I'll have to see about a dd tail. I'm ready to go brushless i think. crashn_bernstein (but not as much any more)

Since i now dont have a esc/mixer/bec, i'ma going to have to go brushless. I was adjusting the ball links on my left side aileron servo, and then i got a WHOLE lotta jitter, then poof, smoke. rats. did not change anything from flying 1 hour ago, just doing a little trimming with the link, and pooof, the magic smoke genie escaped. so, the question for you brushless folks, what to get?

I have the carbon fiber blades for my cp and they are the best, I have wacked them countless times and they still look like new. look hot too! Matt

Spent $34.00 for them. I got about 5 flights out of them and then had a radio glitch. They were totally destroyed. These new Plasti-Blades would have survived the crash and they are half the price. These new blades are not symmetrical and are mostly for beginners or Non-3D pilots. CF blades are mostly produced for their lightweight and are mostly geared towards the experienced pilot. The CF blades will also split over time as they are hollow and even small impacts will cause the upper and lower halves to separate. CF blades have their place in the heli world, but for those of us who are not perfect pilots, these plasti-blades are definitely a needed addition. -Pilot

I received my 2 sets yesterday. However, on one of the sets the balance was a little off causing undesirable vibration. Got them balanced and wow not bad. Well, I eventually crash landed in idle up mode, main blades hit the tail boom causing the tail rotor gearbox to break while the tail rotor snaps off and flies away, main shaft slightly bent and nicked one of the plastic blades slightly but no heavy damage.

hey guys, I weigh each set to .01g prior to bagging them. I apologize for the inconvienence of having to do any post purchase balancing. I will continue to verify the weight on each blade. Hi If it weren't for your plastic blades I would be on my third set of stock blades right now. They have already paid for them selves, I may just have to buy another set to be on the safe side.

Well, I went and did it!!! I had my first "Plasi-Blade" crash tonight. It wasn't a major crash, but one that would have definatly destroyed the woody blades. I broke a tail feather (blade) and my 4-n-1 fell out, but the blades only had a minore nick in them!!! WOW, I'm love'n 'em! The crash was once again due to the B&H connect slipping off the ball of the swash plate. I took a small strip of wire-wrap wire and wrapped it around the ball joint. This will hold the connector on while still allowing it the freedom to move. Hopfully, this problem will now be solved. I also found that I had to add an additional 2 turns on the pitch linkage with the new blades. Not a problem though. I just found that I had to give it a little more Ju-Ju to get her up in the air. Got them on Monday, just had a chance to hover them. WOW. great product. mine first set were perfectly balanced, and even tracked good. no adjustments required. slapped them on and up i went. great product. have not crashed them yet, its windy outside. but im sure i will crash, and i have the utmost confidence that these will hold up. i took a blade and wacked it on the edge of the desk. barely a ding (real, real small ding). some fingernail pushing and it was back, good as new. that was before i flew them. did not even notice. thanks jcshobbies DEFINATELY A MUST FOR BEGINNERS. WILL PAY FOR THEMSELVES IN LESS THAN A DAY!

Been dinking with the micro helos for a while, did the park flyer stuff for a few years. Still a novice in Helos. But I purchased the Blade CP after I got the Blade CX. Both are good products. I have 9 micros and only one of them is a complete piece of crap. BUT, I stumbled on to JCS Hobbies, talked to and emailed John quite a few times about his plastic blades. I bought some and here are my results. My Blade CP. Stock 10t motor and Nimh battery. Stock flat bottom woody blades did fine. JCS plastic blades I am sorry to say it did not have much lift. I lightly sanded the leading edge to get the razor edge off and that helped a little. That was in FP mode and CP mode. It would fly but thats about it. No altitude at all. I had orderd the 11v lipos and 9t motor but had not taken them out of the plastic bags yet. So what the heck. I broke one of the lipos out today, charged it, slapped it on the CP and WOW with the plastic blades it screams and flies like a bat out of hell. I am not really interested to fly upside down and land on the ceiling or any of that stuff. I have two very large indoor places I normally fly. (winter here now like most places) Anyway, the plastic blades from JCS are well made, John did his homework on them. They are extremely durable. I clipped a fertilizer bag today and it put 2 slices into the bag and never wiggled. DO NOT let it run into you unless you like pain. The plastic blades are perfect for the fliers like me. Still learning, bumping into things (I'm old and the depth perception aint what it used to be), and I'm not into the aerobatics yet. I think with the 9t motor and 11v lipo you could probably roll it if you are good and have the altitude to recover. But remember its a flat bottom blade. I am sure if you tried hard enough you could trash a set of them... but I dont think there would be much left of the CP by then. Anyway thats my 2 cents worth, the plastic blades are great for beginners like me because those woody blades break and chip if you just look at them hard.

I e-mailed him to ask if they fit the HoneyBee CP2 without modification and did not receive a reply. Hoping he produces symmetrical blades soon!

zguy, I must have missed your email. I try to answer every email I get ASAP! I do not know if they will fit other helis, but I will say that the thickness for the blade grip mount measures out to 5.60mm. Take a look and see if they will work. Thats odd [X(] When I got my pair, I tried it with stock 10t and nimh and was hovering just over my head with no issues. Flew mine new plastic blades outside this morning at a park on my way to work. They work great. Even did one dirt dive, and they survived without even a nick. another $17.00 saved on wood blades.

I also just ordered two pairs last night...I've slightly read about them...are they flat bottom? Sparky..if so...do you think you may make contoured ones as well in the future... I'm a complete noob...and I've trashed all my spare flat bottom blades..but had some HB contoured ones that I got off ebay..thinking that they were flat bottom but ended up being contoured..so i decided to try them last night..and liked them...at least from what I know...I'm a complete noob with a CP... this video is my third attempt at flying... Dawgbone, They are flat bottomed and depending on how things go I will be creating a symmetrical blade in the future. Weight is an issue so I will most likely have to use a new plastic processing method that will alleviate that problem. I will do my best and begin testing sometime in the near future. I have plenty of ideas for new parts. I will keep everyone informed as things develop.

Tom, There is no way to have different sales tax in paypal since every county has different sales tax amounts. I have to go with the max so I can cover all my bases since I have to send money to the state every quarter for the tax.
