Do not know what if any difference between the 8 and 8.5 there is. I know on my 8 the rear body mounting hole I had to drill. I had to trim the hole where the engine sticks throw and the exhaust stinger on my 8. Might bid on a 8.5 body on ebay to comapari the two.

maybe thats just how they are then? seems odd. i thought that maybe cause of the extra few mm's in length it was the reason the holes didnt line up for engine and pipe. oh well. also rear shock tower isnt covered at all by the molded part of the body. the body is about 20mm forward of where it looks like it should be.

The factory H8 and H8.5 bodies are identical down to the last cut, curve, and hole. Perhaps they had a bunch of extras

The 8.5 and 8 fuel tanks are the same. The 8.5 and the 8 bodies are the same except the mounting holes on the 8.5 are 4 mm further apart than on the 8. The body supplied in the 8.5 kit comes with the front hole predrilled and leaves the rear hole for you to drill.

I run the extended version as it helps reduce chassis flex.

46u,

The stock rims are actually pretty good in the rough (I.e. they flex a lot, but this can be an advantage in rough conditions)!

Flipeter, Enjoy it man. When you get a good baseline setup on her (I.e. one that fits your driving style and local tracks), you'll probably be amazed at how nimble but stable she is!

LOL. I think your pipe is some sort of mutant! Looks like an elephant trunk, or something worse hangin off that buggy!

I've said in the past that Hyper 8/8.5s are 'chick magnets' jokingly to people who were considering owning one, but now it doesn't seems more like the truth!

Well is flipeter a 8.5 or a 8? The wheels on it are stock 8 as I though all the 8.5 came with solid wheels. Yes I have two sets of the stock 8 and 5 sets of the solid.

Not quite sure what you are talking about? Are you talking about droop? That is set adjusted by the setscrews in the A arms. As I understand all the front and rear parts (A arms, shock towers, diff housing and so on) are all the same as the 8.

yeah just if they are exactly the same. I'm asking because i'm preparing to sell my H8 to buy the H8.5 and I got a few extras of the H8 like the front and rear lower arms so maybe I can keep those for the H8.5

With the deals I am getting off ebay I am going to up date my Hyper 8 to a 8.5 for $100 to $150. I picked up a new FR2 chassis for $33 on ebay. I have most the stuff I need but will not up date it till the racing season is over.

More then likely not a direct replacement with out some modifications if at all. Keep in mind Jammin is made by Hong Nor and Hyper by HoBao.
