I'm running 35wt all 'round in the 16mm shocks on my Hyper8 Pro. White springs, preloaded with number (4) inserts.

40 front and 35 rear. This is what I have been running on my Hyper 8 with Jammin big bores and is what I am starting out with on my Hyper 8.5. I hope to be breaking in my STS D21T MKII in my Hyper 8.5 today. 3 weeks ago I was getting ready to break in my new 8.5 when I had a NEW steering servo go bad while setting up my radio.

I am considering drilling the shock piston holes on my Hyper 8.5 but going to try them stock first.

crazy 8t I was born in Pittsburgh PA. If it where not for the fact I all ready had the STS D21T MKII I would of gotten the S21T but when my sponsor sent me my MKII the S was not out yet. I have run several STS D21B and have been very pleased with them. I did not like the STS pipe and on my Hyper 8 after trying several pipes I ended up running the stock 8 pipe. On my 8.5 I am going to try a Thunder Tiger 2035 which a lot claim is better then the JP 3.

Thanks. I think I am going to try 40wt/35wt. I'm just waiting on this DX3R radio to come in. The dealer keeps delaying the shipment.

Hard to say as I have never run the STS S21T and I do not know anything about your track. Which Hyper pipe and what sort of track?

On Nitro House web site they have some recommendations for drilling out the shock piston holes. I use a React radio, push a button I know the temperature of my engine, push another button and I know what my RX battery voltage is. Spektrum makes a good radio but for the price of the R they should have included a few more features with out have to buy add ons. All so with my React I can use Spektrum receivers I was running a Spektrum DX3 before I got my React and for the most part was not a bad radio just was lacking in features.

I used to have the React and loved it. The only draw back was it did not have a backlight. I sold it on ebay for $202 and orderd the DX3R because I thought it had a backlight. I found out it did not, but it was too late. I have to go with the DX3R now. Hopefully, it will be just as good.

Like I said the Spektrum is a good radio just for the price you would think it had a few more features. The main think I do not like about the Spektrum is it does no read the RX voltage. Unless things have changed since I used my DX3 the only fail safe is for signal lose and not for low RX battery. Had a problem with this on one of my trucks when the receiver pack got low. Two things I do not like about my React is the screen is small and at 53 my eyes are not real good and I have to put a rubber band on to keep the battery cover from falling off.
