Hi,

Can some of the experience T rex pilots advise what handling differences can be expected when using these different length blades on a Trex 450XL CCPM and a 3250 KV motor?

Thx

Not entirely true - all blades are not created equal.

You can compare the 'old' 315 woodies to the 335s. Bearin mind that you need a stretched tail boom to run 325 or 335s.

335s feel more 'planted' and have more presence than 315s. With a suitable motor and pack they also give more climbout... Maybe not quite as quick on cyclic but I've never run on teh exact same heli so I cannot say.

325Pros are a different animal (and I guess the 315Pros also). They are stiffer and behave differently. For agressive flying and 3D they are nicer IMO. I still have a number of sets of 335s but tend to use 325Pros on my two stretch boomed Trexes (4S and 5S LiPos). My old 3S has the short boom so it still runs 315s ... not been worth buying 315Pros for that as the packs were tired makming 3D 'tricky' but I just got new packs which have injected some extra life into it so I may buy a set to try.

If you're running a non-stretch and want a change then try 315Pros. If you have a stretched rig or want to stretch then get 325Pros.
Forget the 'old' 315 / 335 woodies IMO - they are the same price give or take a few pennies and lack performance.

I agree with the above post, the T-Rex is extremely responsive no matter what length blade you have. Most people will prefer a little slower cyclic on these little hot rods IMO. I just went to the 325 pros from 315 woodies on my 450XL. I did notice a more locked in feel and better climbout with the longer blades. So yes, some twitchiness goes away with the slightly longer blade. Plus...They're a lot stiffer than the stock woodies but still plenty light, so they sound REAL COOL (cooler than the stock ones) on high G meneuvers! I love to hear the blades beating the wind! Haven't tried 325's yet. Probably won't.

Wher can I get the new tail boom for the 325s. I have been flying 325s on the stock boom and I have not had any problems.
