I am considering changing our Joplin two pole course to a three pole course.
What do ya'll think?
A two pole requres less people and safety equiptment. Any body can race any thing.
A three pole needs lights and people in a cage to judge, hard hats for all and a good hard surface to take off from, but racers can move up and compete in events run by other clubs.
What are the elements for a good course?
Getting interest in pylon racing in SW MO

You do not need cages to run a race. All help is now off the course. Also, Lights are not completely necessary (nice, but not necessary).

Here's a heat from last fall from the infamous helmet cam. It was really windy, so keep the sound down.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbQemK68aYQ

I tried my best to pancake the thing coming around 3 a couple times

It shows what you need, basically some plywood to launch from and willing competitors

Opp's the thing has to clear youtube first ... it will be there soon

Do for delivery today, my Viper from Tower. Already have the upgrade stuff from Darrol. Still have to get some new servos though. Some reason I had to spend 400 bucks on tires and a window repair this week. I can't wait till my kids grow up and I get to spend my money on MY toys.
