hi , i have a question about hitec 5995 tg

I am going to build a robot using 22 of your motors HSR-5995TG (and for two or three robots, up to 66 of it). we bought two of it for testing, but we face two serious problems.

We think we may have used the motor in a wrong way. But we faced a serious backlash in the motor shaft. As the length of the robot (with three joints and thus 3 motors) is up to 90Cm, even 1 degrees of backlash in the shaft of motors could easily move the end of the whole robot 3Cm which of course will result in instability. Could you please assure us with the backlash of the robot if it is less than 1 degree?

It has 5 degrees of deflection if motor is latched, does this mean that loads can turn shaft, 5 degrees when the motor is latched?

Also the arm jitters and shakes when latched, what do you think is the problem? Am I sending wrong controlling signal?

does this problem has anything to do with the version of the controller in the servo motor?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help and attention and I deeply appreciate any help

There should be zero backlash in the 5995's.

I don't understand what you mean be "latched."

What board are you using to connect and operate all the servos?

I would suggest you contact tonyo @ hitecrcd.com for any Robot questions.

Mike.
