Yep - A -Sparky it will be

Everything slowed down when I started the new business. Hope to get back on it soon. Howard has the outer two wing panels to get ready and I am down to a few items on main fusilage, mostly mounting engines which are basically ready then the servos & stuff. We are going electric but have not settled on a final selection yet - seems we are going larger than originally planned. The two inboard are now set up for the larger E-Flite 110 (I have one unit) - Howard forgot how big this thing is-forget the 60 size stuff!!!.
We will discuss electric setup during our Top Gun trip Tuesday. May go with higher voltage motors than the E-Flite for less amp draw at same wattage-seems to be the thinking now.
Final paint and detailing will happen after maiden flight.

For you guys that have been trying to find the Chris Golds plan for the Lancaster.

I have them in 90", 106" & 110" spans. Larger spans can also be had.

Send me a pm if interested.

Hi All,
I did a 100" Lanc and it should be in the Traplet range. It has vacuformings for the nacelles so that saves a lot of time. Grand Slam version and electric. Just fit engine sound and you will have four real Merlins growling! Now trying to work out how to post pics, hope this works. Modified for the day for a bouncing bomb.
John

Hi All
I'm new to the forum but have been slowly building a Chris Gold Lanc for the last year. Just wondering though what do you use to sheath the foam to make it ridged and less easily damaged. i cant see anywhere on the plans what to use? If someone could Email me at sven_9t9@hotmail.com with a solution i'd be very grateful.

many thanks

Steve

Steve-- Did you order the cowl and canopy pack? I'm wondering how well they fit the model as built.

Thanks,
Mike

Steve-- Thanks for the quick reply. I've been thinking of building this big Lanc. I've been wondering about the palstic parts so thanks for the info. How will you power it? I'm strictly electric these days so that's my plan. Nice photos.

Ah thats good i wasn't sure if the pics had uploaded. My friend is opening a model shop in Chester so i've got a nice discount on 4 enya .24's. There is pleantly of space in the nacelles for good size power packs but i'm not sure how easy it would be to fit the gearboxes or props.

Steve-- I've been using outrunner motors with great results. No need for gearboxes. I'll use NiMh cells from under the cockpit floor to the bomb aimers position for CG. I'm still mulling this over though. This is one big bird.
