Status: offline 		Once the heli gets light on its feet it starts spinning CCW rapidly. I think that the taill servo direction is correct. A right turn command at the nose causes the blade carrier to draw closer to the boom. Is that correct? The blades rotate CCW. The servo is a HS56HB and the gyro a GY401. Any idea where to look?

One other problem, Once thr rotor gets up to speed the ESC/Motor cuts out about once every 2-3 seconds. I moved the receiver from inside of the crutch to just behind it, under the gyro. No change. Is the ALIGN ESC capable of 4 servos plus a gyro?

Status: offline 		Turn your transmitter and heli on to let the Gyro initialize. Now move the tail of the heli from side to side using your hand while making sure that the gyro is correcting for the movement in the right direction. If it is not, then you just need the move the switch on the gyro to rev. I had the same problem, using the rudder stick on the controller was okay, but the gyro was correcting movements in the wrong direction. I would check that first and go from there.

As far as the glitching goes, you may want to get a ferrite ring or two if you don't already have one. You just have to wrap the ESC wire around it a few times.

Most people here would also recommend that you get a separate BEC especially if you are using 4 HS56 servos. This is the same set up I am running and I took someones advise I went ahead and put a 6v Park BEC on. Its just a little peice of mind.

Status: offline 		not sure but trying to help does the gyro have a reverse function? i have a cheap gyro and had to flip the gyro over so it would react in the right direction. also dont have an align esc but does the esc have have adjustable overload protect? make it less sensative for now then get a seperate bec like a park or medusa. this will take the load off the esc

Status: offline 		Set Rate (normal) mode on the transmitter and give RIGHT tail rotor, the servo should PULL the rod. If this is wrong reverse the rudder channel in the transmitter.

Set HH mode on the transmitter.

Turn the nose to the LEFT, again the servo should PULL the rod. If this is wrong reverse the REV-NOR switch on the gyro.

Status: offline 		The gliching reduced frequency when I separated the ESC wire to the reciever away from the bundle of servo leads. I will invest in a separate BEC,

As for the Tail: I set up the tail to pull the rod with a Right input. Then in the Gyro normal mode I set the gyro such that it opposed the direction the nose turns in. I am still spinning CCW. The rudder cotnrol on the transmitter seems to have little effect, overcome by a stronger force. In frustration I reversed the gyro and the heli still wants to rotate CCW rapidly. Something is fundamentally wrong. The old saying, "Can't see the forest for the trees" seems to fit. I badly want this 'thing' to settle down.

You hit the nail on the head! I put the links on the leading edge and now I have left and right control. I'll take it outside in the a.m to hover and confirm that it is stable. I bought a GY401 so it ought to be stable!
Now I must work on the glitches, get a BEC etc.
