What sucks is that at the local track the one guy that has an OS 18 isn't that good of a driver, so it's hard to judge the performance of the truck. I think I'll go that route, though. If I'm still wanting more power, well, the Picco will be there next season, assuming someone in this town still won't support the Nemesis.

ask him to let you drive it, maybe he will...

everywhere i've been the guys have been real helpful. i haven't asked to drive anyone else's car, though. but if you feel comfortable you might tell them that you're thinking about buying one and would like to check it out for a couple laps.

and if they say "no" sucker-punch 'em and just take it...

Make sure you seal the carb pinch bolt, this is usually overlooked and often times a source of leakage. Also seal the backplate if you didn't already. One thing I do and I swear by it is wrap all carb needles with teflon tape. Just pull em out and it doesn't take much...just a couple layers and wrap in the same direction as when screwing the needle back in. Wrap it over the o-rings and threads..the whole needle, just dont put it on the tapered end that actually does the meetering. Doing this WILL seal those troublesome needles up. A little test you can do is when you are done hook a short length of CLEAN fuel tubing up to the nipple, plug the other holes with your fingers and blow into the tubing. The throttle slide should pop out to wide open and there should be no hissing. You could even take some soapy water and brush it on around the needles to look for bubbles.

Just thought I'd chime in on my picco experience.

heat cycled it, break in at factory settings. After about a quart the motor started loosening up some and the temps dropped down to 220.

Don't need to tune much more as it stays at 230 all day long and has tons of power on a stock pipe. Once it hits second gear, forget about it - gone...I pull on all the other trucks we run with. Think I've got a pretty good gearing for all around driving.

16/38 with close ratio. MC59 plugs.

The only complaint is I'm having trouble getting a good mesh on the spur gear, it's like I can't get the clutchbell/motor any further away and the mesh is very tight. It's on a traxxas big block conversion kit/mount. Spur gear still looks pretty good so I'm not going to worry about it.

Well, I installed and went through break-in on my new picco 26 maxx, my problem is the carb is really stiff and ushally doesnt close all the way, even while off the truck!! Someone told me the carb would work itself in but so far it is still stiff. Also the I have started leaning the engine but it seems to have no low end punch, will not wheelie. Right now I have a 64/20 spur/clutchbell combo, is that good for a T-maxx??

Thanks for all the help..

Of course I would get it with that pipe. How can you not after reading the reviews after it was used. The reason I was asking is because if I get that engine then I want to be able to use my copper flex header.

Thanks for the pic. Dam, that is sweet. I wanted to wait a little while before I bought one but seeing that just took me closer to buying it. It fits so nicely. And I can't believe how nicely the header sits too. Do you think a 1/2 inch diameter header messes with tuning? I have have to read up on the the whole installation guide and see what I think but right now I gotta go to the place that will make it all possible: work 7 days a week.

Hey Kliff, are those the HPI Dirtbonz tires on your Revo? They fit nicely. You like them on the Revo? I have an xtra set at home, might just have to put them on my Revo and try them out.

That body does fit nicely, I am still using my original revo body. Yea it has some battle scars but it still works. I guess i'll see how the engine performs with my huge header but the 2.5r seems to be running good with it. I was thinking of getting a pro-line crowd pleazer 2.0 as my next body but don't know how thick that one is. I see that the Parma X-Citer is thick and the same price so this might have to be my next body. I don't mind the look of a wing but don't know if I would want one, but I guess I would need one to keep all those wheelies under control. Oh and will the .26 burn up the slipper? I burnt the slipper once doing drifts on leaves with the stock truck but maybe it was set wrong. Also are you all running a stock truck with the .26? If I were to install the .26 then the only things I would want to change is the cb/spur gearing so that it won't flip everytime I touch the throttle, if I even need to do that. For those of you with a stock revo and the .26 do you have any problems with things being in the way? While I have problems using my stock throttle servo and linkage?
