When you make adjustments are you clearing the engine out, you need to drive it a minute or so between adjustments. Most of the time adjustments will not be noticeable as soon as they are made.

When it up to at operating temperature does it run? or are you just having problems getting it to idle.?

ok i didn't know that, so after adjusting the needles i need to wait after about a minute of drive time to see an effect? Yeh im just having problems getting it to idle, the whole time I've kept it between 200 and 220, it just will die as soon as i let of the throttle, or take off the glow warmer, and if i keep the throttle on about 1/4 itll last about 30 seconds before dieing. I noticed some air bubbles in the fuel tubing, so im gonna check the tank and lines for leaks, i doubt theres an airleak in the motor cos i sealed it all up beforehand.

I would try and finish the break in first, then start tuning the engine. Start with the high speed first when it is tuned and running good start with the low side. Usually when mine dies when idling it is because it is to lean.

I would reset the needles back to the factory setting then go from there.

kk, what are the factory settings btw, because everyone is saying something different, and can you say whether its in full turns or half turns, because some people have been giving them in half turns. Thanks.

High Speed Needle needs to be set flush with the end of the needle housing

Low Speed Needle needs to be 1mm out from flush with the brass sleeve.

The slide in the carb needs to be open 1/16" to do this look inside the carb neck, the slide in there needs to be opened 1/16" turn the idle screw to adjust this.

Wow looks like the Darkside has seen brighter days... Anyway I am bring my money pit out of retirement and need to stomp my little brother he just bought a 3.3. I have been looking at the Picco, but after reading about 20 or so pages I have concerns. Is it a good motor or not I really dont wanna spend the money on the RB that somebody else recommended. Also I know I'm goona get grief for this but I want dual exhaust have been looking at the Integy system. Wanna wheelstand and smoke his *ss on our track. I know this is the Darkside but please be honest here which engine should I go with. Hell it's a Tmaxx guess another couple hundred wont kill me. really need the help guys gonna be ordering this weekend. Don't wanna get pissed at the money pit and shelf her for years again. Backyard bashing and maybe some club racing, ain't gotta be first just gotta beat the little brother.

Yea I have seen a couple on here and other sites but they leave the shaft in or JB weld quarters in there. Do you know of anyone that makes them like the 3.3 has ?
