Yep...I had to do the same thing. I used 4 washers and cut about 0.9mm off the side of all 4 to allwo them to fit. But its a hassle if I change gear ratios though. ill get the Hot racing BB set. quote:

ORIGINAL: Kawasakirider Hey guys, I was going to buy an os 18 and a revo 2.5r from towerhobbies and get it shipped to Australia. The revo over here is a grand the the 18 tm is $400, I can get both SHIPPED here for $950, I then saw tower had the picco .26, my mate has one in his revo that I do allot of work on and all I can say is WOW, it is a good motor, doesn't tune quite as well as the os but it doesn't worry me. In my cart I have the revo 2.5r, the picco .26 max and the ofna engine mount. I have a few questions: 1: Is this mount ok? 2: Will the stock diffs and the stock wheel hexes hold up to all the power the picco offers? 3: will an OS #8 plug be ok for this? my LHS has the OS #8 and the OS A3, the A3 is the hotter plug I think, I will be using 20% nitro so I assume the OS #8 will be a better choice? 4: Is the stock pipe OK? I will upgrade to a resonator or trinity a couple of months after I buy the truck and the engine but when I get it I will be strapped for cash (I'm only 14) 5: The stock gearing will probably be to low for this engine considering it comes with the 2.5r in it. What gearing do you reccomend? 1) i think the ofna mount is lacking. i say that because i have it. i day dream about replacing it, but instead i don't. if i had my choice, i'd get the traxxas big block mount. however, after going through the trouble of making this work, i just haven't gotten around to replacing it. i have attached 3 pictures: the first is the engine loose in the housing. the second are the 2 washers i have to use to get the mount to hold still. third is the mount with the washers in place. you can see how much space is in there. 2) after a few months, mine are still fine. time will tell... 3) i live in texas so i don't see much cold weather. i use a medium heat plug. 4) according to ofna it was designed to use the stock pipe. i used the stock pipe for a bit and it was good. 5) i never used the stock ratio transmission gears, i had the wide ratio from day 1. but i tried the stock (15t) clutchbell & it would wheelie like crazy. i tried combos with the 15t, 16t, and 17t CB's and 36t and 38t spurs and eventually settled on 16t/38t. but that's me. it can still flip over from a dead stop, but not if i don't want it to. good luck!
