Interestingly, with all the bashing my 'Box has done, I've never broken a body mount...

I'm also surprised I've only broken the steering once too, but then its hard to do any damage there when the front wheels are hardly ever on the ground!! ; )

Thanks for all the encouraging words, I certainly do try my best to pay attention to detail and pass that on to you guys. If my threads have helped one person do something they wouldn't have been able to otherwise, then my task is complete.

You will, if you dont break them by rolling it or jumping it and landing it on its roof, then because the mounts are horizontal and body vertical, the shell rattles and wears the mounts out making them weaker. Rears are usually first to wear and break

I had a cheap acoms servo in mine, the screw used to back out and the saver would be sloppy because of the cheap nylon spline, put a tamiya high torque saver (#51000) and a metal geared servo in there :-)

Nicely done there! I had a 3300kv brushless in mine for a while, but took it out and put a technigold in it, then took that out and put a sport tuned too.
I have the old yellow CVA's on mine, no 3rd shock mod or anything.

The single most important upgrade for a Lunchbox in my opinion (apart from bearings, every RC should have bearings!) is the alloy body mounts, nobody wants to buy the chrome body parts tree every week lol

Where can you get those mounts? I have a Midnight Pumpkin though, so the mounts might be very different. But we've broken 2 already.

A guy off another forum made mine, he doesn't make them anymore. Midnight Pumpkin ones are completely different, but there is this guy that makes them:

http://www.miniaturemanufacturing.co.uk/apps/webstore/

I would grab a set, as the original midnight pumpkin ones are hard to find, and usually expensive.

So had a few new arrivals this week...

A variety of different lengths so was able to get the front end of the 'Box finally sorted. First the steering arms...

...and then the upper "wishbones"...

Not dialed in properly yet, but keen to hear what settings others have used for toe/camber/shock rates etc...

Cheers guys!! ; )

Just a word to anyone wanting this kit ,,,if you do not like stickers stay away from this kit for sure!

I had no problems but for somebody not good with stickers i see them getting very frustrated with this model..

Here is mine i decided to go with the tire on the rear of the truck it just looked better this way to me.

Nice pics, cool looking kit! If you think stickering one of these is bad, try doing an F1.. ; )

Although I love the Lunchbox, one thing I do miss about your typical pick-up truck body is the roll bar - it makes a real handy carry handle!!

That's a cool 'mog magic2002! Shame it looks like Tamiya have stolen your idea.

I just picked up a cheap unloved lunchie, so thats two lunchies and a Midnight Pumpkin now
Gonna tart up the new one and give it to my 4 year old nephew, who loves uncles "orange 'mote kintrol van" hehe

@chasehq : thanks!! I hope they steal my lunchiemog after it's finished, so I can buy the rollcage as a spare part... I think that would be cheaper than having it 3d printed again...
