ORIGINAL: thedr Dude, calm down. If you can't open your eyes to some constructive criticism of your rantings, then I can't help you understand your complaints. It's a re-release. Simply put, same truck, same material, just about same price. If it was a re-design remake it would cost way more and be an entirely different truck than it was on the first go around. You like the looks of the truck. But otherwise you're flaming most of the rest of it. You're right, it's apples and oranges. HPI/Losi/AE are more hobby-grade RCs and the cheap Tamaiyas and the like are toys. Not the same thing and can't be held to the same standards especially considering the huge price differences. If you want a modern design buy a modern vehicle and not a 20-year-old re-release. All I'm saying is I think your expectations are too high for what you're asking. This isn't the LunchBox2, it is the same old LB. Dreaming and complaining about dreams unfulfilled...I don't know. I'm not trying call you out guy, just trying to help you figure things out and cool down long enough to take another point of view into consideration. As I said before, a lexan body fixes the body post woes. I hear your pain, and I was trying to help. But getting frustrated isn't helping and getting mad that everyone's not logging in screaming TAMAIYA SUCKS ain't helping either. But as I said, I think you're enamored with the look of the truck and being blind to what you actually paid for - a dredged up 20yearold design re-release, that is CHEAP, that has the same inherent issues it did 20 years ago. At least it doesn't have a mechanical speed control I am done with you.
