You kill me dude.
You're the one freaking out over and over again, and flaming Tamaiya, and you say I'm the one freaking.
LOL

guess you still missed the lexan tip, huh?

Dude, calm down.
If you can't open your eyes to some constructive criticism of your rantings, then I can't help you understand your complaints.
It's a re-release. Simply put, same truck, same material, just about same price. If it was a re-design remake it would cost way more and be an entirely different truck than it was on the first go around.

You like the looks of the truck. But otherwise you're flaming most of the rest of it. You're right, it's apples and oranges. HPI/Losi/AE are more hobby-grade RCs and the cheap Tamaiyas and the like are toys. Not the same thing and can't be held to the same standards especially considering the huge price differences. If you want a modern design buy a modern vehicle and not a 20-year-old re-release. All I'm saying is I think your expectations are too high for what you're asking. This isn't the LunchBox2, it is the same old LB. Dreaming and complaining about dreams unfulfilled...I don't know.

I'm not trying call you out guy, just trying to help you figure things out and cool down long enough to take another point of view into consideration.

As I said before, a lexan body fixes the body post woes.

I hear your pain, and I was trying to help. But getting frustrated isn't helping and getting mad that everyone's not logging in screaming TAMAIYA SUCKS ain't helping either. But as I said, I think you're enamored with the look of the truck and being blind to what you actually paid for - a dredged up 20yearold design re-release, that is CHEAP, that has the same inherent issues it did 20 years ago.

At least it doesn't have a mechanical speed control

I am done with you.

so this weekend i was at my grandmother's house for mother's day. i took my two lunchboxes out and let my little cousins play with them. they're all boys except for one girl. but she's over at my house fairly regularly so she's seen them before. but the boys hadn't. they loved them. other than a couple slightly bent (and now straightened back) radio antennas nothing was damaged! oh, and my tail light.

then my cousins and uncles were asking about them, where to buy them, how much they cost, etc...
i was really trying to sell them on the idea. but they didn't seem too keen.

i'm thinking about selling my mini quake and buying another one of these. i debate back and forth from the LB, MP, or WW2. ultimately i probably won't do anything right now. but i like to think about it....

<edit>
i say i took "my two LBs" but really i took mine and my daughter's. i don't own a panther pink LB.

thanks broncojd...lolz

Some of us forgot this was a LunchBox thread

I want to keep this box running long enough for my daughter and son who are quite young to have fun with them. Overall they aren't too terrible to fix when they break and size wise they are easy to mangage vs. the larger 1/10 scale crowd

Some of us forgot, and turned it into an anti-LunchBox thread.

Take a breath, calm down, have a cool drink, something. Life ain't that bad to get ticked over every little thing and tidbit of advice people try to pass your way.

Who is anti-LB here?

GETTING BACK ON TRACK....

I fixed the ESC! I found out I had to keep the setting button PRESSED and then turn on the esc from the switch to get it out of race mode! WOOOO HOOOO!

My hung up diff turned out to be a bushing that popped out accidentally, not secureing the planetary into place very well. Now it rolls/coasts perfectly! WOOO HOOO X2!

I made a really simple/cool/effective way of fixing the broken battery holder!

I found a trick way to fix my cheap/flimsy battery door. I get the flexibility of rubber and still retain the use of the original arm! Works terrific. I used an extra shock tower part I think from the parts tree, used the rubber bottom out shock shaft pieces left over from the spring build and got a terrific door that is now unbreakable and it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb!

Guess what!

The guy is new on ebay and I asked him about a chrome bumper for the LB...he says it is on the way!

I also asked about goldy bumpers/arms/etc....he said they are working on developing a few of those as well !

you can get them at any auto parts store, the only other thing i had to do was enlarge the holes in the body by one size, but i have had many crashes, i even jumped of a 2' drop, landed upside down, and thoughs survived
