both times, i just gave it full throttle from a dead stop after about 10 runs on each spur

There must be something wrong with your transmission other than the spur! I run my brushless Box at least once a week, putting all kind of stress to it and the spur only shows normal wear.
Did you put ball bearings in your tranny or are you running on bushings? Do you have the re-re LB or the original version?

I have bearings, and its the rerealse with original and rerelease gears, the first one, just barly stripped the gears, the socond one is missing 3 teeth

Cool mods!

So you need some kind of bracket to mount the CRP arms?!

Wow!, Hope you get it squared away soon. Here are two pics of my slow build progress. The first shows the hand-made bracket mounting for the CRP upper arm pivot. The second is another hand-bent aluminum servo mount, this is after I saw many photos of cracked and warped plastic where the sevos mount.

Thank you, yeah, the bracket makes the arms much more parallel than they would have been. I will post pics within moments, kinda went on a building spree.

I think those shocks are too long for LB...and still not seeing much detail of mounting the CRP kit...

See previous page for close-up of CRP bracket mount, and yes, the shocks are longer than expected. They are Kyosho W5143, and I got them at a great price. So what if it's more top heavy, I'll be able to jump 14 garbage cans!, Ha!!.

Thank you, I'm quite happy about the results so far. I hope to have the wheelie-bar built and the painting done by next weekend.

You can always put some spacers inside the shocks to shorten the travel, if you feel its too tippy.
Now go and build an independent rear suspension!
