not really sure, just noticed it. There was a night off jumping off the patio down to a grassy area, about four feet lower. then cruising back up the hill and off again (in the dark with the headlights on ). It goes faster now, I assumed the damage was from faster crashes. This one is an original so maybe the plastic is getting brittle with age. I really don't know. I have been forming an idea of how to fix it up with some aluminum rods. Basically take the rods for body mounts (like lunchboxers) and connect them with another rod running front to back that also ties in with the shocks. What do you think?

I enjoy the challenge of fixing it myself, if I can. I have the chassis on my tower wishlist if it doesn't work out!

No, just the stocker. I have one, and really want to try it out. But it is also driven by one of my kids (ok, so technically it is his) and the extra speed would probably result in someone getting hurt.

got a slight problem from spray painting.. arrghh

i'm wondering, do you use generic plastic spray paint from say walmart or target? (or stick to tamiya paint. those are so little and cost so much)

if i grab a lacquer plastic spray paint from walmart, those are ok for the lunchbox hard shell?

................... DOH!!

Good luck! I'd say, sand it down, wash it, clean it, and re-spray... and get a new bottle of paint!

i use normal car paint, even on polycarbonate, if you do really fine dust coats its flexible enough.

but on abs (hard shells) i use a coat or 2 of etch primer, wet sand it back with 600 grit then 2 0r 3 dry coats to get a good base then one nice wet coat to get the shine. and its a reeal deep shine too!

It really doesn't matter anyway, as you will scratch the heck out of it the first time you drive it.. so just finish the paint job.. and re-finish it 3 months from now.. when it is all beat to death!!

Oh yeah, I run mine w/ lex
