*knock on wood* my stock lower arms held up great.... I mean i bashed the hell out of it after i got my aluminum front hubs on..... wanted to c how much it would take b4 it died.... which i couldnt destroy it...... but right after i quit tryin to destory it , i ACCIDENTLY ran into a 2x2 steel pole..... i hit it at a weird angle and it shattered my lower arm. but that was also with the small buggy tires on it..... AND it was like 70+ outside..... i think the warm weather has a whole lot to do with the durability

hi jeepers, I got the same hubs (hpi mt2) as on your 1/10th buggy but I will have to put bigger OD sized bearings in the outside of the housing.I found the bearings and have them coming , my question is did you try the rear knuckles. If so how do thet fit. Did you get 8% or 10% casted "door type mounts" LOL door mounts. My ball joints will not work either but i will drill and nylon nut the ball joint ends.

ok explain this..... i took some spare doortype mounts i had last night.... i was curious how much bend they actually had stock and after boiling them..... either way you can bend them all the way til they touch and wont break.... i put them in the freezer and they still bend all the way til the ears touch..... how can they bend that much but break so easily on the cars lol????

Not sure on that one, maybe you can not put the force on the plastic as fast and as in the many different directions as a wreck. If you get a chance look at Ebay item # 6000003207 they are lower front arms that look right but not sure, also look at http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJYM5&P=FR I am all most sure those will work for our buggys. Let me know what you think, the arms are for a 1/8th I think so they may not work at all. Oh yea my door holder right where it broke are 3 air bubbles, weak point ??? I think so!!! oh well lets leave plastic behind us.

its the instant jolt or shock, your probably bending them real easy, its almost impossinle to bend something as fast as the force it would take to break it.

i have not messed with boiling any plastic parts yet... I am still waiting till more plastic breaks, to try... lol like my a-arms or something... I have spares already waiting on that to happen.. my truck is running like a lil tank now... hehe it is awesome... I had to use some lock-tite on the screws that hold the "door mounts" and steering arms together...I have been running my truck around in all weather and have yet to see it break again... (knocks on a tremendous amount of wood)... lol I don't want it to break till i get my new body completed and on it.. have only done a few jumps though... highest was around 4ft...

hey jeepers, do you have a problem with the front drive lines being to short with the hpi door mounts. They are just a hair to short on mine and will just fall out, but with these aluminum parts you can beat the heck out of the car and nothing has broke yet. Its pretty fun with just rear wheel drive.

jeepers, what about this part listed on exportpro.biz

http://www.exportpro.biz/index.php?page=0&accessories=upgrade&type=1:8%20SCALE&pg=1

is about halfway down on the page... it states it is for the 1/8 scale buggy, and truck... i know the volcano is 1/10th scale... but I am curious...
