from what I heard the new 2.4ghz line won't be rolling out till mid April so it doesn't surprise me that its not on their site, they even have a new 550 that coming but its not on the site either.

ive seen a HBFP on some website and it had the option to come with a 2.4ghz tx and rx. But i don't know if it's the same thing as this.

ESky has their whole line coming out with 2.4ghz I believe, can't see why they'd keep making FM Tx's when they have 2.4ghz technology. There are a few sites that have the 2.4ghz lama for $125 and I've seen the FM version for $90, but I fly inside so I don't need a 2.4ghz system.

does the 2.4ghz tx's get better range distance? if so how much? and sense ill be flying mine indoors most the time the 2.4ghz RX would probably get wrong signals or something with all the elctronic stuff in my house lol.

actually the whole reason behind the 2.4ghz systems is that its not affected by other frequencys in the air, it gives the Tx/Rx acrap load of signal/channels to use. you can fly a bunch of helis at the same time with it, something you could never do with FM, but yeah for indoor flying it's worthless. I have alot of electronics in my comp room and never have a prob, BUT make sure all other electric devices are turned on before you turn the heli on, I forgot and turned my vidcam on after my heli and it started up and flopped on its side , not a common problem but better to just avoid that situation, turn heli on last

The static caused by some mods like carbon fiber blades won't be helped by the new radios. I don't think I like the tail rotor motor leads being on the outside of the boom. Is the canopy smaller?

Guys sorry about the confusing post above

what i meant was i converted my HBFP to 2.4Ghz cause im tired of waiting for E-skys version of it!!

used a 3n1 from eflite or u can use 3n1 from E-sky[EK2-0701] they are exactly the same. then used a Spektrum AR6100e for my receiver[from CX2]

then used a Transmitter again from eflite CX2 ....so now its 2.4ghz Spektrum FP

Hey Jack,

Being sort of new to the heli scene, I am not familiar with r.f. interference caused by c.f. blades..please tell me what its all about as I have a set of c.f. the are about to go on my king 2......my primary bird is my f.p right now thats why I am in this thread.

Thank you.

I just remember seeing a whole big thing being made about ESD interfering with the controls. They were wrapping things so ESD couldn't get through, etc. It may have been on the RC Group forums associated with the Honey Bee. At the same time, a guy there posted all the mods he is using and one of them was the cf blades ( I think the thing that prompted everybody and his brother to do the same mods was a posting and video by Racin 6). I asked the guy about problems with the M-24 blades and will report back on his response.
BTW, their HBFP thread is up to 48 pages now!! A lot of info to read through.

Me again! The ESD problem wasn't from carbon fiber blades - the M-24 blades are NOT carbon fiber. Sorry for the confusion. The ESD problem was from the Freestyle belt tail conversion people were doing. The guy I asked claimed that most belt-driven tails will generate ESD - static - that might interfere with the electronics.

Hello all,
I just started flying helicopters and chose the HPFB as my first one. I bought a 7.4 850mah Li-po battery continuous 15c and burst 20c. Some of the other lipo's used in the heli where 10c, does anyone know if this battery will work safely in the heli.

I have not been able to fly it yet just crash alot, I know I need a bigger space then my garage. I had bought almost every spare part except the center hub set, which I broke of course. Now i am waiting for them should take around 10 days.

I paid 80 dollars for the heli and they sent the Sim for free along with the cable so that was a good deal with free shipping. I downlo
