My first rc car was a mugen MBXR Works. I know it was an overkill for a beginner, because I have soo much troubles starting the engine. Now it's scraps. I've should of start off with a electric instead.

My first was T3 that I still have. But I got it because one saturday I went up to the lhs with my dad when they were racing and I seen them racing then I caught the bug. A couple days later I went up there and bought the rtr version with my own money. Everyone was like what a waste of money, but if they ever drove it they would probably go buy one too. And now I have a DS with the black tub. But unfortunatly they are both up forsale/trade now.

My first was an old Kyosho on-road car, 2wd with a .12 OS motor in it. The car at first, I thought, was a Pure10, but was actually older than that! It was made back in the late 80's.....anyway, I had it back in like 1992, and since, I was hooked on R/C!

My first car was a Grasshopper. Got it when my dad was stationed in Korea in 1985. I raced all over Korea with it and competed with the RC 10's . Now that I look back, I don't know how I did it. I must have been a much better driver than I am now :-). I still have the grasshopper and I am planning on fixing it back up just for fun.

Now let me think...My first car was a Tamiya Lamborgini Cheetah. Same chassis as an XB 311, kinda looked like a mini hummer. Man did I have a lot of fun with that car! I remember when my neighbor's rottweiler chased it down the steet and caught it with its teeth! It survived that with only a couple of scratches. That was way back in the late 70's or early 80's.

Next Tamiyas I had were the Holiday Buggy, then a Ford F150 (same chassis as the Rough Rider and Sand Scorcher) and then a 4wd Thundershot. What great fun all those cars were!

I'm just amazed at how many of you still have all your cars. It makes me wish I still had mine.

Anyways, thanks for the memories and great thread!

My first real RC was an RC10, one of the first models from the early 80's.
I'm still looking for one NIB just to build and stick on a shelf.
