i still have the same car in my collection it cost me about 80$ on ebay to find all the parts to restore it (man i was tough on things when i was a kid ) the hardest part of the restore was building a pat back for it since it only has room for a 5 cell pack
oh btw if anyone comes across a driver for the car im in need of the arms thats the only thing i cant find

My first *real* car was a Tamiya Lunchbox. What a blast. I think I had the most fun beating the snot out of that thing. I vividly remember giggling just about everytime I drove it. It was always hillarious when I would repeatedly run over my buddies Yokomo 4wd buggy whenever he chucked a dogbone, even if he did not think so!

mine was a USED Tamiya Lunchbox (1989) and then in 91/92 a Tamiya Stryker (I loved this car, it was an off road formula one car) and in 94 I bought the Kyosho Nitro Thunderbird (my first and last nitro).

I thought I'd post a pic of the Striker for the old schoolers that may remember this rare one. She wasn't the best of the Tamiya line (basically a falcon with a hornet front-end with no oil filled shocks)..

When i was 5 or 6 my dad bought me an electric buggy. I cant remember what sort, it might have been Tamiya, and i remember it cost alot of money. I loved it it was fantastic. Used to go up dirt ramps and everything great fun for a little kid. Well i didnt have it long. My dads mates pool is flush with the pavers so its just basically a whole in the ground stupid design. His bullterrier got interested in it, and as i was trying to drive the car away from the dog i drove it straight into the pool. My dad dived in, got it out, and got it fixed. When the car finally came back weeks later, soon enough i pulled it apart to "see how it works" ....

and now 20 years later im getting back into the hobby again, this time nitro, and hopefully the car will last a bit longer this time round !

My first (and only...so far... ) is the Fast Attack Vehicle. I recently dug it out and am trying to restore it. I originally got it 20+ years ago...I guess. Anyone know how old it is?? I am thinking about buying an all-new R/C car to play with because of digging out the FAV.

My first real R/C was a Savage X, when I was 12 years old (I'm 13 now).
