Hi Serge,
What is the exact model number on those retracts? Model looks great! Does anyone know the latest on the Sierra Precision or shindin retracts for this model?
Thanks, Paul

Hello,

I have been waiting a few weeks for another modeler to get me a wing to fit the gear into.
We want to make sure we have everything correct before we run a batch of them.
It's suppose to be here on Friday, I hope. The retract is complete but we need to check the fit of the wheel
and strut combination.

Sorry for the delay.

I also have a set of Sierra's on my Super Corsair, and they are very nice. They can take a pounding without bending or breaking.

Hello,

Here is a photo of the Sierra Gear so far. They are 1/2" Sia. strut and a 5/8" Dia. Air Cylinder.
Retraction angle is 80 degrees as requested/needed.

I am just waiting for the wing as I said to put the axle at the correct angle.
Price is to be $220.00 without and $280.00 with an air kit.

Darrell

they look awesome. I'll order a set as soon as they are ready. Any chance you will come out with sets for KMP's Hurricane or Spitfire
Thanks

mfranke,

I already have a set designed and ready for the Spitfire. I put one together with some stock parts I had and threw them in a plane we
picked up at Toledo. The Spitfire has a little problem though. The gear rails are in a scale location and the plane wants to nose over
no matter what I do when taking off or landing on grass. It might work on pavement, but I have not tried yet as I fly off thick grass most of the time.
The plane fly's great but I most likely will have to move the gear rails farther forward to stop the nose over problem.
I have even shimed the rear rail to the point that the rear geR mounting flange is sticking out the bottom of the wing with little difference.
I still need to add more nose weight for a better flying balance, but I have not done so yet because of the problem with the gear location.

If you need a set, let me know, but you will have to move the rails in my opinion.

Also, the ME109 wing never showed up so I'm stuck on what to do with the 109 struts.

Darrell

Great pictures of the iside of the ME109. Here is just one more way we can get a cockpit into these. I am making a seat right now, just waiting for the wood I am bending to dry then a seat with a radius back will be used.
