Hey guys,
I'm thinking about picking up one of these cheap minis to try my hand at rotary flight while I finish up my build on my fix wing. (very fun in afpd... unfortanatly from what I hear not so good for helis... oh well). I have a chance at a blade cp with all the upgrades it has for it, and spare parts. I'm wondering if I should try to nab that up, or go for the walkera 22e that I have also been looking at.
thanks all
-John

The blade cp with upgrades sounds good if the price is right.

Thanks ace,
I'll try to snag that. And sorry, I ment the walkera 37 not the 22e. Got them mixed up. So many numbers. lol. One question. The blade I'm looking at comes with the bell hiller head and a aluminum swash plate. I gather that the head makes the cyclic more responsive. Would I be better going back to the stock head till I get the hang of it. And the aluminum swash plate... what change does that make to the flight characteristics of the bird.
THanks
-John

When I flew with the bell hiller head, it was just more stable. The alluminum swash plate makes it more stable by eliminating flex for the directional movements. I would keep everything like it is, unless you want to keep the better parts till you fly better as not to destroy the good parts. I dont know how good you fly maybe you are alreay a pro. Good luck.

thanks ace. The seller said he'd swap the head out for me. I think I wiill have him do that. Apperantly when u hit the blades with the bell hiller it's more likely to break then with the stock head too. So I'll use the std head for a bit. Everything else I'll keep the same. I'm definatly not expert. Never flown a heli. Only in apfd. And if the blade is anything like the t-rex model I downloaded a model of, i'll be in for a few crashes Sooooo twitchy.
thanks
