Does varying idling rpms sound like an air leak? It wasnt my servos twiching, i shut off th reciever and listened. When idling, the rpms are going up, and down, like im using the throttle, but i havent even touched it. checked the fuel line seems to be sealed (no bubbles) Ijust want to get these engine problems resolved! O well, cant wait to pick up my lrp spec 3 on saturday

Either an air leak or slightly lean LSN. Richen it up 1/8 - 1/4 and if it still continues to do it it's most likely an air leak...

Enjoy that Spec 3 once you get your hands on it it's on my "to buy" list hehe

What are good replacement shocks for the mgt? I have had mine for only a few days. It is about 4 years old though. I bought it from my friend. Anyways the shock caps keep coming off. They are the originals so I would like to replace the shocks completely. I know to stay away from Integy. But I would like something better than plastic.

FT alloy caps or power strokes if you can find them.

Are those just caps? I would like to replace the whole shock. They are 4 years old and have been through some pretty good abuse.

then get some new shocks and the alloy caps. it will still be cheaper than power strokes, and a very durable set up. But if the shafts are straight on your current shocks, then just put some new oil in them with the FT caps and you will be all set.

you shouldnt be driving it that hard yet. but there is definitely a audible change when it shifts though

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOOj3j9N1oQ

there are spots in this video where you can clearly hear it shift

you can definitely hear it shift, but NOT during break in. During break in, you are running it RICH and slow, so you won't get enough hanging RPM's to get it to shift. Be patient, it'll be screaming soon enough.......

Do you know how to tune? im not flaming im just asking, to try and figure out what your proplem is, so if you are a good tuner then you shouldn't have too many problems with that, have you checked to make sure none of the CVA's or CVD's are broken? that may be the problem.

Start from scratch....Bottom the needles out, then back out the low speed needle 6 1/4 turns, and 2 3/4 turns out for the high speed needle, then tune from there - that combo worked great for me. After break-in, mine ran best within roughly 1/16th of a turn of 2 1/2 out (HSN), though. Your best setting should be fairly close to that.

well probley my last major buy for the MGT was made today,
2 x Pro-Line White Velocity HD 40 Series w/23mm Hubs (2)
1 x Dace Manufacturing 23mm Wheel Adapter Set (4) (Black)
2 x Pro-Line 40 Series Big Joe Monster Truck Tires (2)
the reason its my last is, im 15 1/2 and so im going to need a car soon so i need about 3 grand to get my car so im not buying anything for a little while. Maybe RPM knuckles with these huge wheels, but thats it
