well i got good news and bad news. bad-my fail safe failed! lol! how does that happen. but it was coming right at my so i cought it...with my leg. lol. good news is i got it up to speed, but i still dont know if its shifting. it takes off and goes fast but i still really cant make out if it shifts or not. i know before i could here when it shifted but now i cant tell. but at least its getting better . i was about ready to blow the thing up. lol. glad i waited. and with mine it has a really high pitched whine. idk how loud its suppose to be but it doesnt over heat so its not like its to lean or rich. how loud it yours or how high pitched???

thanks

newthing, the mgt is one very loud truck. that high pitched sound your hearing is not uncommon. its a display of power!
also, im glad to hear your tranny issues are somehow sorting themselves out.

If it's high pitched then it's probably not sfifting. I had tranny issues with it before and it wouldn't shift to 2'nd - at WOT it was revving really high, the difference was very noticeable.

If you've reset the shift point with no success then i suggest you remove the tranny and check the 2-speed hub. The grub screw may have come loose which secures it onto the shaft, or the shifter mechanism may have broken. Taking it apart won't take long, and you'll definately solve the problem if you check over everything.

that looks like a fun place to drive. i think you shouldve done some hill climbing on that big dirt pile next to it, youll be amazed at how much torque its got.
