To forum,
I dont know if this has been discused previously on this forum, but I have found that the sts .28 engine is not a drop in replacment, simply because it will not fit into the stock motor mount, If you use a dremel like tool to grind/sand some material from the motor mount it will fit though. Just wanted to share my finding.

thanks for the info. i thought the sts .28 was a direct drop in, i was kind of thinking of getting one. still up in the air as to what engine i want to get as my spare. im thinking of the lrp z.28 spec 2, picco 27, Novarossi N528XRS 8 port, or the os .30.

On a budget Picco .27, if you have money to burn Novarossi .28 8 port.

Both are very good engines.

Save your $$$ and get the Axial .32 instead of the Surefire. Same engine, different box.

I have the picco .27 and for $180.00 it's the choice. This motor is great and its strong and fast. I love it. I found a great place yest. and was getting about 30 ft distance 7-8 ft in the air and ran 3 tanks and all i did was break one rear turnbuckle and a tire came loose from the rim. Just got done fixing it and went and got a new red body for my second truck I'll probably go out tomorrow and try to get some pics of my trucks in flight.
