Am I missing something here? I just ordered a H.A.R.M. electric 1:6 scale car from Germany they said to get the Nomadio radio but it is like 4 times as expensive from Germany as I found on eBay last night $299.00 for the Nomadio radio with no sensors $399.00 with sensors. I have no need for the temp sensor so what am I missing here?
New to RC Universe there is so much information here. My head hurts.

do i or don't i buy a sensor?
thx dirby.

If you are looking for a radio with telemetry options and If you can spare the cash I would .

Duhman, you seem to be under the mistaken impression that the major selling point for the Nomadio is the telemetry when in fact it is merely icing on the cake for most people. Dirby, if you want a radio that is light weight and comfortable to hold, has the fastest response and resolution, and can easily be improved and upgraded via software updates rather than shipping your equipment off to parts unknown for hardware updates, the the Nomadio Sensor deserves your serious consideration. I have said this before and I will say it again.......I paid 500 bucks for my Nomadio and it was a very good radio out of the box. One year and 4 updates later, it is a even better radio than when I bought it.

Well, you didn't SAY it but that seems to be the only feature you harp on. You are clearly on record here saying the only reason you will not buy a Nomadio is because you dont need any "telemetry crap". Then above, in answering whether Dirby should buy or not you only point out if he wants telemtry he should buy it. I mean....cmon.......if your going to try and sell Nomadios at least point out more than one feature /benefit like you do when you come in here and hawk spektrums. I listed three very good features of the Nomadio system in my post above......you are welcome to use them if you like should you try to sell Nomadios again.

The "telemtry crap" was a comment when N.S had me up and going. But I suppose you don`t say anything you don`t mean in the heat of the moment . If you actually read on and see that I like all the features and would have gone with the Sensor if it was out when Spektrum was . The only reason I would switch over is if I needed the other features Nomadio has . I don`t drive as good as I did when I was younger and probly won`t see the difference in speed . The only reason I bought the Spektrum was for less hassle at the tracks . If I get back into heavy racing I would pick up a sensor for all the better features . Other than the looks I like the sensor , I just don`t need it at this time .

Frog welcome to the wonderfull world of Nomadioites.

BTW just had a race report from Bryan Thomas he is STOKED! He races on road his first day with the Nomadio he ran till 2AM because he was so dialed with it getting ready for the ROAR 1:10 scale on road sedan nats at Crystal Park.

THEN he takes off to Revelation Raceway to run off road his first off road race came in 4th not bad behind Losi team drivers like Adam Drake who took the win.

Download the Sensor Simulator

Because the Nomadio Sensor is software based and we use PCs to develop it, you can actually download a simulator that will show you the great user interface and features of the Sensor. Here's a shot of what it will look like running on your PC (sorry, not macintosh compatible).

Not just a pretty picture, this simulator actually shows you what you will be seeing as you drive or go through the menus. Simply click your mouse on any button to see the effects. To exit the simulator, just right click your mouse and choose "exit".

This version contains our latest software (version 2.2) and shows you the depth of function that is available in the Sensor system. To download the simulator, click on the following link.

http://nomadio.net/demo/NomadioSensorDemo.exe

When the download has completed, click on the file and it will self-install onto your computer. You can uninstall it at any time using the Windows Start menu or by using your control panel.
