Naw,

Beeing the retentive anal poor that i am, i could NEVER bring myself to have an ugly cylenderhead sticking out the bottom of a beautiful scale cowl Seriously, i really like the look of a twin sitting behind those scale cowl cheeks!! Looks very scale, and way less vibration. Plus, you can't get that great twin sound out of a single. I actually did have a gasser once in the WAY PAST (Byron Pitts with a Quadra 35) i know, REALLY OLD SCHOOL. I really never cought on to the gasser craze, so this would/will be a test for me, to see if i catch the craze this time around. If not, one of you guys will surely benifit in the sale, but i'm pretty sure i will love it. I need a wheel plane anyway, as all i have in my fleet right now are jets and seaplanes .........

One of the guys I flew with had that plane with a US 41. He said it would barely fly the plane. The 3W 56 has a lot more power and flys the plane great.

im wondering if a Evolution 58 will pull the 91" It sure hauls the Ultimate around like no tomorrow and that has to be 20 lbs

That engine is probably better suited for the 85" wing. My 3W 56 weighs a little bit less than the Evolution 58 and it still required that the batteries be moved forward compared to what i've done in the past.

Correct. The Cap 85" is plenty big for the Evolution 58 and will be spectacular. There is no need to go to the bigger wings and the 91" version will be harder to balance.

Well, I changed props today and went from a Bolly 22X10 to a Bolly 23X8. The performance was night and day difference. With the CAP you have a lot wider cowl which can block some of the thrust produced by the engine. It is an even bigger joy to fly now. It harriers better now as well. Still no wing rock though.

Nice! The guys at my field told me I need to run a better prop too, i'm running a zinger pro 24*10 and they said a Bolly 24*10 would be much better

Oh yeah, Bolly will do a lot better than that zinger pro. There isn't much price difference either.

Zinger props make excellent paint stirrers.

For the record, I'm currently using a Zinger 22-6/10 for mixing the paint for my house in a 5 gallon bucket. OK overall, but it could move the pigment a little more briskly IMO.

The first sentence was in all seriousness. I finally found something useful to use them on

wow. how come no one let me in on that secret before? My LHS carried them when i finished my plane and i couldn't wait, so i got one. So if they're that bad, how many more rpm can i expect out of changing props?

its not a case of more RPM.....good props make more thrust. the zingers and top flight props tend to flatten out under load.
