I have an older Mega Nitor glow plug starter. It does not state the mah capacity on it. I have an attachement to hook it up to my accucycle elite but what charge rate should I use? Is there a way to figure out the capacity on a battery?

Yea but that a little work on your part. Make a few assumptions first, that is a glow charger needs about 1.25 A to lite the glow plug. Therefore minimum 500mAH battery has to be used so if form charge your battery at 50 ma to 100 mA for 8 hrs. So you can check if getting to warm. Now you can discharge it at 250mA and read capacity.
Problems are if battery is any good, does it need cycled to get the capacity back, etc. Next recharge at C/10 (typ 12 hrs) of first read of discharge and then discharge at C/5 after five cycles you will know the answer to your question. Tell us your first cycles reading and I’ll update.

Ok . . . so my accucycle elite timed out charging after about 4 hours or so. I discharged at 250mah and got a capacity of 975 mah. The charger that came with the glow starter charges as 125 mah which is the best I can do since the accucycle will time out. I'll discharge after the form charge but should I go down to 1.1V as before or 0.9V.
