How do you handle the winter blues, not being able to build and waiting for flying season to start?

Why would you not build during the winter months?

We don't suffer from that malady out here.........this is Vancouver Island! We get the 'Pinapple Express' up the Pacific from Hawaii and have a very moderate climate.

We get to fly every week! Outdoors we have a shelter complete with wood stove and one of the best flying sites in the country, and we fly indoor at a hudge equestrian centre.

There is a Monday float fly group that flys every week of the year and last year only missed three Mondays over the winter months because of rain. This year, not sure.

The biggest problem is.....there's no time to build.

Hello; It's true, we fly all year round here on the Island, but you can get a little bummed out if it rains. I'm going to Cuba for a month. That should help see me through it.

...... We hate guys like Frank and the Doc. No good Canadian warm climate dwellers. They'll be wishin they lived in La Salle, MB, suffering from "reverse-envy" when the big earthquake hits the coast.

Wrong Sharpy. Wetcoasters are all happy in the knowledge that when the big quake happens, the rest of the country will fall into the sea!

The BIG quake, that would be great. Then I'll have 'water front' property and can 100G's to the value.

Maybe you guys will get lucky and the SW zone will fall into the sea. No I don't think so, we would be the last ones standing and still causing trouble.

The biggest problem in my parts is the mud ... you can expect some yahoo to get their vehicle stuck in the Ajax driveway every spring ... it's been years since that yahoo was me.
