If they used the TLT wheelset for the fronts then they would indeed need a 12mm hex setup.
Everything Willy is sort of mix and match nowadays. just look at the Unimog - LB chassis they used.
By the way, I like that aluminum front brace. How much is it?

Suddenly, Willy upgrades coming out of the woodwork . . . more good stuff from Tech Racing Japan . . .did you see the aluminum NOS bottle? How's about the front and rear suspension arms? Wicked! I lke the front damper stays, the servo mounts, don't know what the front wide axle shafts are for . . . nor the body mounts. And they come in anodized gold as well . . . did I mention aluminum?

Too bad he "carnaged" the fender wells.

As the misses got me the Jimny and VW T bodies for my Bday, I sourced another WR chassis and spend it some dynawheels.

As I said Dyna wheels from Dyna Blaster/Blitzer Beetle Chrome Edition, but yes they got rereleased on the streetrover.
Mine are originals , genuine Tamiya high quality plastic rims

Did I ever post anything here about the progress on my 4x4 wild willy? I think I did, but never showed the result... it is almost finished, it rides but a final version of the chassis is underway from the printer, with small updates.

Took my Wild Willy 2 out to the beach. Sealed gearbox kept all the sand out, seemed to run really well at the beach, surprised me that's for sure.

Thanks for the tip, ordering them now, I had to use a junky NiMH old pack that was low on power to begin with. Wonder if it would raise the center of gravity though hah!

are that softcase LiPo!
Be carefull that they are tightly fitted and dont rub against anything or you might damage the outer layer.
If that happens Willy will have its balls on fire.

Those lipos definitely will not fit the Wild Willy.

Been using an older softcase pack for all my Tamiyas, but it is starting to wear out, I actually should use it for my WW2 since that is still on brushed motor. Dunno why I didn't think of that haha.
