Short video with the custom wheelie bar. You can pretty much wheelie down the entire street with proper throttle control.

Since a set come with both left and right, you only need one set.

For servosaver, since you don't have a metal geared servo, you cant run the stiffest one. Maybe you can just run the stock one for now.. Or you'd have to buy another one when you upgrade your servo...

Hi Everyone

Its nice to see new people and new cars! My rescued WW2 has had a lot of fun this summer, its still running fine, and I added a little cooling to the motor (pic below) I was wondering about maintenance? The car runs and runs despite the odd knock and all it really gets care wise is a visual check.
Is there anything I should be doing?

One more question, I live on the beach and I am SO tempted to run willy on the dunes, but terrified the sand will get into him and hurt something vital, as you know the motor is really exposed, is there any danger? Willy was BORN for the beach!

I have totally given up on getting a WW1 the cost is just too much, I am falling into the trap of holding back with my WW2 as his value rises too!

If your Willy has ballbearings (preferably rubber seals) and a metal pinion, than that should be enough.
just cleaning of the dust und putting just a little oil on the driveshafts and cups(but wipe it dry again so it doesnt collect dirt) against rust, or use dry lube

you could put this on the motor, Tamiya - 9400480

WW1 isnt that expensive, if you are lucky you can get a LWB for aprox. 130euro that is still in good shape

yup, if you look long enough a ww1 turns up for a reasonable price, I know of 2 that are on sale now here in the Netherlands, a swb and a lwb, i think if the bidding doesn't go crazy each won't go over 200 euro's

ah well I just got myself my 5th ww, a ww2 to keep nib
