Aight, here's some pics of my setup.

Now that she's all built and tuned, a new paint job is next.

Where did you get that rudder, please?! Isn't it a bit long?

The rudder is the old 4" kit from Top Secret Boats......No, I do not feel that it is too long.

Now all we need is HescoRacing's newly developed canopy for the TC31. Here is the first spy-shots. Sleek and more aerodynamically efficient... Unfortunately, its not out there for us to order yet...

Any one seen this yet...NOPE cuz I thought of it!
ok you'll need a large bobber or two...then a series of rare earth magnets mine are 3/8 x 1/2" inchers. then separate the halves of the bobber glue two to three magnets on the lower inside think about balance and placement and the magnet poles when doing this...use the other magnets to hold in place as a clamp when glueing/epoxying...glue bobber back together. Then do the same in your boat thinking of water line and placement... the weight of the magnets should be negligible. I've posted a pic. please note if you cant figure this out and its outcome. you shouldn't have such a hobby. take care all, Jeremy

Hey guys Im new here and to boats. I bought a Tc31 and a blackjack26 last sunday, and have read thru th efirst 11 pages and last few. I have heard that the carb settings have been way off , so my question is what should I set them at for break in ? do i check them and set them to what the manual says or do you guys rec something ? The Bj26 was out on monday and it was running rich and would die/stall while driving at part throttle ,i thing it was loading up, what do you guys suggest ? Oh the Tc31 never made it to the water,it started on the stand then died and wouldnt restart and I messed with the other one

welcome!

with tc31 start with HSN in 2.5 turn, LSN 2 turn, if flooding occur try leaning the LSN by 1/8 turn and so on, HSN also needs to be lean if floding occur but it needs to run rich while break-in.... try as reference point.

my present set-up now is 1.5 turn in HSN and 1 turn in LSN.

goodluck.

Ok thanks, I assume that the Blackjack26 is flooding and thats why it dies while driving, sounds like its loading up at times then dies. Am I correct in thinking this ? if so what shouldI set this boat at, its for my Gf and I know she wants to play with it but she cant the way it is

Buying a nitro boat for your Gf is probaly not a good idea, cause you are going to be left to do the tinkering anyway. A brushless BJ26 would've been the smarter option in my own humble opinion, I might add....

yEAH i THOUGHT ABOUT THAT AFTER i LEFT THE HOBBY SHOP, BUT AT THE SAME TIME i HAVE ALWAYS LIKED NITRO TOYS SO i BOUGHT NITRO BOATS.i DONT MIND THE TINKERING ON THE BOATS, BUT DO MIND THE FACT THAT IT STALLS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE DURING BREAK IN

try and lean the high needle alittle, also you can leave the glow ignitor on for the first couple of tanks, this will help to keep it running. so you can get it broke in and tuned. then you should be ok. just don't try to break it in out of the water
