I saw the prototype at the shootout and it looks like a great place for a YS 110. I think they had a price of 329 on it.

We are 85% done with the prototype and hope to fly it within the next 2 weeks. The price as of now will be around 379.95. I will try and get the pics up soon.

would a YS-140 be a good engine for this plane?

Hey Mark,

When do you plan on flying the prototype? I'd love to get out there and check it out. I am going with the 140 dz in mine. Should be a beast, hopefully (our altitude sucks).

Mark,

Does this look like a viable platform for an e-conversion? I am hoping so as this would just be an awesome looking e-plane at my local field. I am looking forward to some interior pics.

Tim

We already have many customers who plan to do an e-conversion on this plane, it would be extremly easy to set up and there is ample room for the needed batteries. I will try and get some interior pics soon.

To be honest im not completly sure if this motor would work. It is about a half pound heivier than an OS 1.60 and you will still need an ignition battery and switch. I would look at the MVVS or Evolution series of motors as those would fit better.

Which one of the MVVS engines do you recommend?

What motor are you using for test flights. How do you think an OS 120AX (2 stroke) will perform on this airplane?

Thanks

We did all of our flight testing with the OS 1.20AX and had very good power with it. It has plenty of power to do anything we ask of it.

Mark,

I'm very interested in this plane, your Yaks have about the nicest color scheme I've ever seen on a plane and I love that its a quick build!

This thread has been going for almost 9 months now, when do you think this thing is actually going to be available?

Rob

at 9.5 lbs with the OS 1.20 2 stroke...A YS 1.40 would rip this plane a new one!

What servos are you running for the test flights and/ or what do you recommend for torque requirements? I've got some spare Futaba MG 111oz servos for Ailerons and elevators and a JR 8411 for the rudder, hoping they will be enough.

hey guys,

Wow this is a very nice looking plane!

When I saw that this was for .90 to 1.20 size I was sure this was a misprint. Well looks like I was wrong. I really want one now and can't wait to them here!

Mark in your first shipement, will there be some going to great hobbies in Canada alberta? Is easier for me to buy my planes through them.

Also what do you guys think of power to weight with the evolution 26 in the nose of this plane? I see that the OS 1.20 is rated for 3.1HP and the evo26 3.8, although I know readings are often wrong, please let me know what you think. I don't really want to go glow because of the price of glow fuel, I am going to be flying this one alot.

Thanks again.

LeBlanc
