RCHUGHES - I'll sure let you know how mine goes

Tennwalker41 - Sounds like you like your Evo 26, this will be my first venture into a gasser. Just got tired of only getting 4 or 5 flights out of a gallon of glow fuel in a couple of my planes. If I like it, I will probably be swiching some OS and Saito engines out

I've asked in another thread, maybe here earlier, but what batteries are you using on your ignition system? My Evo has the 2nd generation ignition system if that makes a difference.

As far as the rudder it does come set up for pull-pull, but the elevators are set up to go with a servo each, so still two servo's in the tail. Personally I really like the pull-pull systems I have

What is everybody's favorite 2cycle engine oil? I went ahead and had them order a quart of the Evo 2 cycle oil, but I'm sure there is cheaper and better oil you guys are having good luck with, just curious

Should be seeing some big boxes soon

Rule one: No matter what else happens, fly the airplane.
Rule two: Fly it until the last piece stops moving.
You know you've landed with the wheels up when it takes full power to taxi.

Yes sir u r correct i love my 26 and as soon as u hear urs fire up u will to. I put a servo on my choke and when i close it and pull fuel to the carb it fires and runs the first time every time. I am runnning a Fromeco lithium ion 2600 relion battery for my ignition. I get around 20 flights between charges at 15 minutes each. They run about $24 each no need for a regulator cuz the Evo has to have at least 6.5 v to even start up. It will run down to around 6v. When u switch on the ignition that light willl flash for 1 second as it is clearing the plug and checkin ur battery at the same time. Once u prime the carb it will start and run on the first flip. Just make sure u prime the carb with the ignition OFFFF. After that all u have to do is turn the ignition on and flip and fly.. I use Amsoil in alll my gas engines mixed at 50-1. U must run an all synthetic racing oil. THis engine puts out a lot of power. MIne will turn an 18x6 at 8400 on the ground with the Evo wrap around pitts muffler.. Wait til u c that on this little yak .. YEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAA

I ran across a deal on an Evo 26, so I've decided to put the YS 140 in my Funtana and go gas with this plane. That should save me about a zillion dollars on 30% fuel... I went through almost a half gallon today without even trying... that gets expensive.

I've seen some on this thread that are going with the Evo 35's... I hope that fits into the cowl OK. And I hope the Evo 26 has enogh umph to have some fun with this plane. I think it all revolves around the information that they should have an AUW of 9 - 10 pounds. If its more than 11 or so, this guy may be a little sluggish.

Quick question.... the AW website mentions that a minimum 8 channel radio is required.... did they mean 6?

NO it is meant to be 8 channel, those extra 2 channels are meant to control the girl... what two functions, I leave you to decide -Steve

Hello, 8 channels gives you the best tuning of the plane available. The elev. servos get pluged into 2 channels and same with Ailerons. This gives you the best performance out of the servos and the airplane.

Elevators - 2 channels
ailerons - 2 channels
Rudder - 1 channel
Throttle - 1 channel

The other 2?

I'm not trying to be a smart-a**, (no more than usual). I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something.
