Status: offline 		I crashed my Durastik and Home Depot doesn't carry the thin wall square PVC tubing. Any ideas where I can find it fast?

Status: offline 		Try some of the smaller hardware stores, especially the locally owned ones. It's 2.5"x2.5" OD PVC gutter downspout. Some places might not have it in stock but can order it for you. I get mine from a place called "Sutherland's" for about $6 per 10 foot length.

Status: offline 		Thanks guy, when I run out I'll order it in here and save the fus but I do appreciate the offer. We had Sutherlands up here but they all went out and so did our fixed supply of pipe. Now we have to order it.

Would have been convenient and fun to walk up and say, Hey I'm from KC, where do you keep the airplane fuses at?

Status: offline 		It may be easier to find if you use the trade name for the downspout - 'Raingo'. I found it in a couple of local mum and pop hardware stores. The big boys didn't carry it as there were insufficient sales.
The brown has a slightly thinner wall than the white but the thinnest is the stuff sold for mobile homes. A company specialising in mobile home repair parts is your best bet for this stuff.

Status: offline 		Thanks for the tips guys. I actually found a fellow club member who can get it from his job. In the meantime I just bought a Hangar 9 Twist and I am VERY happy with it. I'd forgotten how cumbersome that Durastik was.....

Status: offline 		I might have to call Revay, I've been looking both on line and in the local stores for months, and I can't find it anywhere local. I can find tons of it online but only in packs of 10 for around $130, that would make 30 planes. The real deal killer is that they want to charge another $120 to ship it to me because it's an over sized package. I'm not paying $250 for that stuff.

Status: offline 		Convert your planes to using 1!QUOT! square aluminum tubing and give up on PVC tubing. I have a twin engine, two engine Pusher/Puller, Canard, and Flying Lawnmower, all using 1!QUOT! square aluminum.

Status: offline 		Try a Tru Value hardware store. Most carry the gutter pipe and if you don't see it, they will order it from their catalogue. I get mine there and the only drawback is the cost about $12 for a 10 foot section.

Status: offline 		I needed some when this all started. I went to Lowes and ordered a case of it. I've been selling SPADS for a couple of years and have two ten footers left. Try Lowes get a group together and order a case.

Status: offline 		My friend owns a rain gutter business that supplies Gutter Helmet, so when they install their product, they rip out the PVC gutter pipe a lot of times. Ergo, square PVC pipe is their TRASH! See if a rain gutter company in your area might have the same situation. I just went out back behind their shop and had my own pile of PVC pipe to choose from. Granted it wasn't new and shiny, but we ARE talking about SPADS, right?!

Buffalo NY!!!!!!!!!! Does it ever stop snowing there long enough so you can go flying or do you have a 12 month building season?

Only kidding. I grew up in Buffalo, spent many summer hours fishing and skiing on the river. But back to the subject. I found that calling Genova Products and asking where in my area I could find 2 1/2" square downspout (RainGo) was the best way to find the stuff.
