@Rusted

You don't need a 1/10th Buggy, you need a caterpillar!! You DO know that you are supposed to miss the curbs?

All jokes aside, you have my sympathies. That said. I do not know of any car that would have survived the crash that did that damage to a DF03!!

well the thing that i dislike the most about about this buggy are the front bevel gears , they r very weak .i accidently hit the curb because i had no traction while i was aiming at a ramp to jump

Lolol, so you had no traction because you had overcooked the throttle, but it is the buggies fault? [)] Dont mind me. I am just pulling your leg!

The gears weak? I have never found the front gears on the DF03 to be weak. I run a MM5700 with a 3S LiPo and have never had any problems what so ever with the front gears.

The point is, if you don't like the buggy then sell it. Not worth aggravating yourself over a car you do not like to begin with. Just as long as you know that you will not find anything that is better than the DF03. By better I mean a combination of speed, handling, price and toughness.

hmm , i started having trouble with the front bevel gears when i installed the front 1 way system , the gears click alot while i drive it or after any jump ,even though i have loosened the slipper clutch , fixing the buggy will cost around 25$ max at rcmart but the prob is that the chassis is out of stock

Aaahh. Well, I have no experience with the 1ways. So I cannot even begin to venture an opinion on what might be wrong. I personally prefer the balance under braking that you get without the 1way.

Rusted are you sure it isn't the one-way itself that is clicking? I'm about to recieve the center one-way actually. You should research it, but I believe a clicking sound is part of a one-way bearing's action. I thought I heard that somewhere, could be wrong.

Oh and they are right, you WON'T find anything better than a DF-03, or the new re-re FIRE DRAGON:

Can anyone help?? I am a newbie at the RC world and not yet recieved my dark impact and all the hop ups, but....

Need to buy a radio and servo for my dark impact, what is better the crystal or synthesised??? not sure i really understand them.

I have a budget of about $300 and want to buy what is best with no chance of any signal interference. Is it possible to buy a device that stops the motor if the signal is compremised??

This may be not the correct thread to ask this but i have tried on the radio thread with no responce.

Advice please

I got back into R/C (in a big way) a few years ago. I just went with a cheap Futaba AM pistol radio, and as long as you don't run with tons of people it's just fine for bashing and what not. However if you are gonna be running with lots of people (club racing, etc.) then it's best to go with synthesized. Don't have to make sure you are on the right channel, just turn it on and go. 2.4 radio systems have PLUMMETED in price so now is a great time to pull the trigger on one if you need it, otherwise you can get a Futaba AM pistol system for VERY cheap. Check tower to get an idea of what you are looking at. The only other radio I have is a 4 channel FM stick radio, but I only use that for my Hilux. Don't have any other experience with radios, but most of these other guys do!

The sanwa 2.4ghz radio that i use has a failsafe built into the reciever that can be set to drop the throttle to neutral if the signal is lost. Since starting to use this radio i have had no interference issues at all
