i am considering a dark impact (instead of my 18T) to go B-less and was wondering if i got it, is there anything i need to get for it like shocks (hear the b4 ones are better) or anything else, my powerplant would be a 6-cell nhmi pack with a mamba sidwinder 4600 or 5700 powering it

Upgraded shocks would be good, but the one thing you will really need to get is the Slipper Kit. Those would be my 2 priorities.

definately, i was wondering if it has a slipper or not, seems like a nice buggy, besides slipper and b4 threaded shocks ( ) where is the best place to get parts for it, tower, tamiya... definately looks like a popular buggy, anything to worry about like diffs or anythin (thats what the slippers for )

I have not had any problems with the diffs in mine. Just do a regular check to make sure that the diff is tight enough. Especially on the rear.

I get all my parts through www.rcmart.com. They have about the largest selection. There is also RCChamp in Japan and Jasons store on Ebay. Between them you will find anything you could possibly need.

Thats the one yes.

Later on, you could look at the Kawada 48 pitch conversion kit. It replaces the Paper Drag Disks with a whole bunch of Durlin bushes and adds a bearing between the Spur and the Slipper Shaft. It makes a very noticeable difference in performance of the Slipper Kit.

Phelansa here has the link. just click on "kawada 48 pitch conversion kit". thatll take you to the rcmart store. not sure if they have them in or not... if not then someone else might be able to help you. and yes you can use any gear with it

Hi folks, I,m pretty new to RC cars (but flown electric planes for a few years) and I,ve got a DI on order.
I,m going to be upgrading to BL in the very near future, maybe straight away and obviously there are
a lot of choices. I,m steering toward the sidewinder esc and 4600 from CC and have a few questions

What else will I need in order to fit this BL combo to the vanilla DI? (I also intend to get the slipper clutch when rcmart get them back in stock).
Is there a UK based supplier of CC kit as its gonna be expensive to have it shipped from the States, taking customs
charges into account. Most of my stuff is coming from Hong Kong, which does NOT tend to attract customs charges for some reason.

Note that this is for bashing only as I have no intention of racing - I,m not looking for the best, fastest, etc, just a reliable BL setup.
Cheers,
Texy
