PS, as far as the motor goes. What I decided to do was take the comm out of a 12 turn Kyosho motor that had a cracked top on the part that holds the brushes, and my venom 15 turn motor, and used the 12 turn comm and brushes from the Kyosho with the venom motors top. And after alot of modifying to make it all work I must say its alot faster now. And I also pulled the 7th cell out of my 2 intellect packs, to make 2 good 6 cell packs. And it runs like a charm, and so far even with 25/85 gearing its staying cool. I thought for sure this would be blistering hot.

i think tamiya needs to start making some CF parts for their cars. like the durga and DI. i would much ratehr buy a tamiya part than a 3 racing or yeahracing towers and stuff. as long as it gives out a good price and durability. so i ordered my 5700MM system and some super rs4 road tires for my DI. stiffening the suspension and im going to road race it!

I run a MM4600 on a Hyperion 3S 5350mAh pack. The 5700 was just too much power on 3S. I run SpeeHawgs or on road, lower the suspension and turn up the preload and you have a great little road racer!

I dont know why You guys worry about buying from RCMart. Everybody starts off doubting them. But own your Tamiya for long enough and trust me you WILL buy from them. They are better than 90% of vendors I have ever dealt with in the USA. And as to CF parts.. you mean something like this?

Phelansa - how do those dirt hawgs work for you? i never really liked them on 2wd trucks. they hook up decent but are kinda heavy. how are they on the DI? and what wheels are those? and the speedhawgs are truck tires arent they? doesnt that look kinda funny with the buggy body and all? haha

RCMart is pretty amazing... They have the most parts for these, and I was hesitant at first but it's worth the wait for the parts... Coming from HK it took about 20-22 days roughly to get the parts but man,. its worth it...

mog ruith What rims / Tires are you running? I have aftermarket arms on my two DI's and had to heavily modify the stocks to turn without binding...

PHOTO TIME!

This is the wife's Dark Impact... It's just about done, picking up the 3S LiPo and connectors today... Just locked the diffs up (still slip w/ resistance but rotate same way now, as above posts stated) so this thing should be nice here very very soon!!

Arms, Towers, etc are from YEAH Racing, and purchased from Dinball @ RCMart. Went with the Aluminum for now to see just how strong they are... and they are very strong. A little heavier, about 3 lbs heavier per buggy now but the nice Sidewinder will take care of that.... Also put the Bahrz Stabilizer Bars on the front/rear of both buggies and it made a massive improvement in handling, especially with the upgraded servo's... Next week, we test them @ the track! Enjoy!

A view of her buggy.

Naked view of the front end, silver + flash = blah... but you get the idea.

Rear aluminum shock tower

Front aluminum shock tower

<YR big bore alum. shocks installed, adjustable>

View of the Bahrz stablizer bars

Castle's 1/10 Sidewinder ESC... Still waiting on the Deans connectors and 3S LiPo to give it a kick in the ass

Castle's 4600kv Brushless goodness!

Hope you enjoy them! I will be recording video as soon as these are done!
