I know QQ is no longer affiliated with the company, but I know he knows this plane. My question is this...now that the Vess Props are available and I heard that QQ helped test these props, what was the prop of choice for this airframe? 32x ? and what letter desiganation?

Thanks in advance.

Let me share your question with Quique. He never minds helping a fellow rc flyer. I can't answer that because I've never had the plane nor the props. I will get back with you as soon as I have more info for you.

Thank you for your question,
Reza

I spoke with Quique. He said he's still testing the new props. He will hopefully have an answer for you after Toledo show. If I forgot to email you, please do contact me again. Lots of things going on, it's hard to keep track sometimes.

Thank you,
Reza

if you dont mind Reza, could you get his control throws he uses for pattern and 3D rates for this plane? And also, since he is flying DA now...what is his prop of choice?

No problem at all. He's heading to Toldeo and I won't be able to talk to him as I didn't make it until next week but I will get all the info you want.

I just spoke with Quique. 32B is the way to go. As far as throws he said he needs to go and make some measurement but if you call him, it will be easier for him to give you some info on the phone. Just call him and let him know that you were in touch with me on RCU and I told you that he wants to talk to you on the phone.

Hope this helps.

Thank you,
Reza

Thanks , I will do that......I am waiting on my Fuse to be finished painting, everything else is ready to go. I will call QQ tomorrow to get some figures. After that I will post some pics of the plane, weights, and report on the flights. Planning on competeing in Unlimited this year and I will report any fine dialing as time progresses.

That is, if its OK to put that here? Hoefully QQ wont have an issue with that, but if he does, I understand.......I cant wait till his 37% ARF is ready! Can I get on the list to do a build thread on it?

quick question...does QQ measure the length of his servo arms, used on flight controls, from the hinge line up to the pivot point of his control horn to get the best mechanical advatage? in other words...if you have a 1.25 servo arm, do you measure 1.25 from the hinge line up to the pivot point of the control horn? Or do you want to measure a little more to get a better mechanical advatage? I know on the ailerons you have to increase this number due to the thickness of the flight control, but what about the elevators?

I had your 102" YAK and I remember reading something along those lines...does it apply to his 37% YAK as well, or did he change anything?

Thanks for the help!

Quique is out on a trip but I beleive you are right! This is how Quique and everyone else I think does it from the hinge line to pivot point of the control horn for 1 to 1 mechanical advantage. In other words, for each 1 degree of servo movement, 1 degree of control surface movement. Now if you choose a longer servo arm you will loose resolution a little meaning control surface moves a little more than servo arm in terms of degrees. Hope this helps.

Thank you,
Reza

Hi Guys, just a quick note about this plane.......IT ROCKS!!!!!! I have roughly 4 gallons through the plane and i am digging it everytime I go out. My confidence and trust in the plane is growing everytime I go out. If his future 120" ARF is going to fly like this one, you guys are in for a treat. I still havent really gotten to wring it out, but did some fun stuff in the wind the other day. Harriers, Inverted Harriers are really easy, and so stable and predictable. Torquerolls are effortless, and even in the heavy winds blowing me down the runway...it was still possible to do REVERSE Torquerolls, alternating back and forth to regular Torquerolls. Rolling loops are pretty straight forward....and did I mention I am nowhere near 3D rates! My rates are set up for IMAC Unlimited sequence flying. I think the next time I go out , I am setting up a 3D rate, which leads me to my question.

I am currently flying a Fuchs narrow 2 blade 30x12....SUPER quite and really nice pull and breaking power. I am just curious to know what QQ uses for IMAC and 3D flying? Thanks for the help.
