Guys

Does anyone (including JL reps) know if the Tigermeet scheme is now available and how much? Looks like a good paintjob.

John

Wow! That's a cool F-18 paint job to be able to lift straight out of the box!

I like it!

Mark

The question is, can you lift it straight out of the box like that or did they just have a box handy to photograph it on?

I am sure a lot of us will be keen to get the lowdown on this one.

John

Well, it won't fit in that box

From the pics it looks to be sprayed outside of the mold?

I think the F18 comes in two boxes! The nose comes off just in front of the wing / LEX junction. The paint certainly looks like an out of the mould job unless they have a new secret.

Yes, that's the box. When I received mine I thought it was a screwup, but everything was there. 1 box.

Guys

I just removed 2 posts that are not directly related to the original question. If you have any answer to the original question, please post it if not just keep off.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Best regards

Ben

Personally, I hope not...It is a unique scheme if they start popping them out like donuts, then it becomes as unique as a yellow cub(okay, a bit of an exageration...you know what I mean, though....)...especially when multiples of them start showing up at flying fields and events.

I'd feel sorry for those who have already gone the masking/painting/ sanding/clearcoat route ( Jorge Escalona and Marty Cowan come to mind...) and have someone say "Hey, you got one of those JetLegend ARF's too..! "

I will physically beat down the fool that confuses Jorge's Coldlake YA Twin with a JL arf.
Tell me they're not arf'n that scheme.

SDCrashmaster and nony

Why have you got your knickers in a twist? Why should Jetlegend not produce any colour scheme they want?, or more importantly , what the customers want?

At the moment we are trying to ascertain if this is going to be an available paint scheme and what it will cost if avalable.

No one , to answer nony's point is "popping then out like donuts" yet and the Jetlegend F18 in the photographs does not look painted in the mould and appears to have gone down the "masking / painting / sanding / clearcoat route" just like any other well painted model.

The answer is simple, if you guys don't like it, don't buy it.

John

When did Mr T join RCU?

Your obviously very 'passionate'...

Still not heard anything regarding that scheme but I would say it would be unlikely.

Just for reference the 'friggin' JL arf' F18 does come in one box and the models are sprayed after manufacture.

Just having a little fun SDC - no offence meant!

Jeff

Well, I reckon they'd be missing a trick not to produce it - reckon it would sell like the previously mentioned "donuts"

Gotta say, I can kind of sympathise with SDC's comments about having put a tonne of effort in to produce that scheme and then have virtually identical models show up at every field across the land after only 30 odd hours of building and no blood, sweat and tears in a paint booth! Similar thing happened to me when I had my custom scheme done for my Lightning and it then got added as a production scheme.

Jeff, why is it plastered all over JL's website under the news and new products if they aren't going to produce it - are they just teasing people

Rgds,
Mark
